“Well… they were hot.”

She leaned in, intrigued. “Oh, really?”

“Really.” I laughed. “You know, for someone who’s not into guys, you sure seem interested.”

Aggie shrugged. “Good looking is good looking.”

“Well, they were definitely good looking, that’s for sure. They were both the same kind of strong, strapping guy with broad shoulders and big hands and steely eyes and just enough stubble to be totally sexy…” I found myself trailing off, my mind totally focused on the two men. I felt a tingling down below, one that made me bite my lower lip.

“Uh, Aub?” Aggie asked, waving her hand in the air. “You OK over there?”

“Sorry, just got a little distracted.”

Aggie grinned. “I can see that.”

I took a moment to compose myself, a sip of the hot tea bringing me back into the here and now.

“OK, anyway…”

I finished the story, telling her about how the men and Henry came back with me to the ranch, and how they’d left with an invitation to get to know one another better.

“There’sfourof them?” Aggie asked, her eyes round as dinner plates.

“Four brothers,” I said with a shrug, as if it were the most normal, commonplace thing to say. “All living together.”

“That’s certainly interesting. Which one of them was Henry’s dad?”

“You know, I didn’t ask. He called Mac and Adam ‘uncle’ so it wasn’t either of them.”

“Very interesting. Well, you definitely need to meet the other two. ”

“You’re right. I mean, weareneighbors. Makes sense that we get to know one another.”

Aggie nodded, glancing off in thought.

“Oh no,” I said.

“What?”

“You’ve got that look on your face that you always get when you have something…R-rated on your mind.”

“Well, maybe I do.”

“Dare I ask?”

She turned her eyes back to me, a mischievous smile on her face.

“First I was thinking about how you ought to hook up with at least one of them.”

“Aggie!”

“What? I mean, why not? When’s the last time you’ve been with a guy, anyway?”

“God, I don’t even want to think about it. Not since I took over the farm.”

“See? Might do you some good to knock the cobwebs out from down there.”

My jaw fell open. “Please tell me you didn’t just say that.”
