Now wasn't the time to toy around with myself.

The Operator's droning, alien, robotic voice continued wailing through the intercom system of the ship.

A methodical countdown began. My heart was in my throat. I kept my eyes on Cyburn the entire time. He was my rock. He was my key to survival. He was so big and burly, my strong, possessive protector. Without him, I would never get out of this alive and I wasn't too proud to admit it.

As the Operator continued numerically counting down in the sinister echo, I just prayed above all else that we would be able to get off this ship and as far away from it as possible before the explosion occurred.

One giant leap at a time… the hangarjusthadto be coming up close. If only we could reach it in time.
