Ronan’s eyebrows shoot up in disbelief. “I’m not wearing it to lunch today.”

“I’m going to wear my earrings!” I protest. Ronan looks pained.

“Niall will never let me live this down,” he mutters, lowering his mouth to mine to kiss me thoroughly, his hand moving between us to unbuckle his belt.

Now,thiswas how I thought we would start the day.

RONAN

My hands linger on Fiona’s waist as she brushes her hair, smiling at me in the bathroom mirror. She’s using both hands, and she’s wearing nice heels. The doctor cleared her this morning. I would have liked to be here to have a word with the man, but Fiona seems happy.

Sliding on my suit jacket – I refuse to wear a tie, but I’ve put on everything else Fiona laid out for me – my eyes linger on her dress.

“Is this one of the things Tiggy brought ye?”

Fiona’s eyes move over her outfit. “Yeah. Do you like it?”

She looks gorgeous. The blush pink dress hugs her curves in all the right places. I slide my hands down, cupping her ass.

“Aye, I do, lass. I’ll like it even more when I strip it off ye with my teeth tonight.”

Fiona giggles, slapping my hands away. “We should leave, or we never will.”

“I’d be okay with that,leannán.”

She rolls her eyes, leaving the bathroom as I trail after her. When she retrieves two presents, my feet shift.

“I invited Liam to the lunch.”

Fiona glances up in surprise, her hands freezing over the gifts. “Does Mellie know?”

“Aye. I texted Niall.”

“Oh, okay.” Crossing to the nightstand, she opens it, retrieving a third gift.

“Ye already had something for Liam?” My eyebrows shoot up. Fiona’s cheeks stain pink.

“Well, yeah. He drives me around a lot. It only seemed right. I was going to get you to give it to him.”

My lips tug into a smirk as I take the shopping bag of gifts, leading her out and grabbing the bottle of whiskey I put aside for this.

Fiona takes the whiskey as my hand finds hers, slotting our fingers together. The drive is quick, and I park in the parking garage under the building.

Niall smirks as he opens the door, dropping a kiss on Fiona’s cheek and taking the whiskey from her. The condo smells amazing. Mellie clearly doesn’t share Fiona’s lack of cooking skills.

Liam smirks at us, seated on the sofa with a whiskey tumbler in his hand. Fiona drops beside him, smacking his knee.

“What?”

“You messed up my Christmas morning plans!” she hisses. Liam winks at her, and I smirk. I never told her it was Liam. It’s amusing that she knew it was. Amusing and a little alarming. Does the lad get in that much trouble?

I take my seat beside Fiona, tugging her into my lap. Liam shifts, nodding to me, as Niall hands me a whiskey and Fiona a vodka.

“Presents!” Mellie trills, shooting Liam a look. He grins, jabbing his thumb at the tree.

“The pharmacy was open today. You’re all welcome.”

“So are ye,” Niall smirks. I bite back a grin, toying with Fiona’s hair, ignoring the knowing looks the other three are shooting us. I guess Fiona was the only one not caught by my invitation to Liam.
