I had a feeling Tristan’s parents were going to invite the kids to spend the night.

I still felt weird about sleeping in his bed. The bed he’d shared with my sister. It didn’t matter that he’d changed the décor and removed her pictures, I’d always think of it astheirroom.

Tristan shook his head. “No, but soon. Just know that I’ll be dreaming of you.”

I frowned. “Why dream of me, when you can share my bed?”

He didn’t answer. Did that mean…?

He turned me so I was facing the door, my back to his front, his lips to my ear. “Are you going to think about me tonight when you touch yourself?”

I swallowed hard, my eyes fluttering closed. “Is that allowed?”

“For your birthday, I’m willing to make an exception. As long as you imagine it’s my hand on your pussy. My tongue stroking you.”

I shivered, remembering how hard I’d come last night from his tongue and his touch. “Yes.”

He slid his hand up my chest until it was circling my throat. His pressure was gentle, too gentle. I leaned into his touch, craving more. I could feel his erection digging into my back.

“I better go,” I said. Even though all I wanted to do was stay.

He released me, and when I stepped outside, my body was flush with desire and heat. Oh god. Why was that so hot? Why did I love it when Tristan took control and told me what to do? Why did I crave his praise and desire his worship?

I tried to steady my heartbeat as I neared the car. Sumner waved from the driver’s seat, and Piper was in the back, leaving the passenger seat open for me.

As soon as I was in the car, the two of them rounded on me. “OMG,” Piper said. “Tristan is even hotter than I expected. I can see why you slept with him.”

My eyes went wide. “Piper!”

“What?” She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back with a smug grin.

“We can’t—” I sputtered. “That’s a secret.”

She made a big show of glancing around the car. “It’s just the three of us.”

“I know, but—” I ducked down in the seat as if someone might overhear us, even from inside the car. “No onecan know.”

“Obviously,” Piper said as Sumner pulled away from the curb and headed for the stop sign at the end of the street. “But do you really think it’s much of a secret? I mean…the way you two look at each other.” She fanned herself. “I thought I might combust.”

“He does not—”

“Yeah, he does,” Sumner chimed in. “He looks ready to rip your clothes off or kill any man for daring to look at you.”

“It’s fierce and sexy AF,” Piper said. “And the way you look at him…”

“Okay. Okay,” I glanced out the window and frowned, suddenly realizing I had no idea where we were headed. “Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.” Sumner grinned at Piper in the rearview mirror.

We reached the outskirts of town, and then we wound up a dirt road. Trees lined the path, and I couldn’t see what was ahead. Until finally, it opened up to a glass-walled home that overlooked the valley.

“Holy—” I swallowed, taking it all in, from the modern design to the gorgeous view. “What is this place?” I asked, shutting the car door.

Sumner removed a bag from the trunk that looked brand-new. Perhaps sensing my confusion, she said, “Tristan packed for you.”

“Whose suitcase is that?”

“Yours.” She grinned. “He thought you might need a new one for Japan.”
