“So, if you have a Riggs, where’s Murtaugh?” I ask, joking, and start to move past Riggs, who sticks himself to my side.

Grayson takes my hand again and leads me through the large great room with an open kitchen. The kitchen is a beautiful dream, and I’d love to bake in it. He guides me to the large floor-to-ceiling sliding wall. It opens to a covered patio and then to a backyard with shaded areas on the sides of a raised infinity pool. The sides are so blue they look like they are lit from inside. I step up to it and drag my hand through the water.

“I didn’t bring my suit.” I smile coyly at him, raising my brow up.

“Princess, you don’t need a suit.”

I look around and notice we are at the end of the cul-de-sac, so no neighbors. All I see is desert sand and cactus plants before the mountains.

“Want to take a swim, big guy?”

He moves toward me and wraps his arms around me. I tip my head back and he takes my lips. The kiss goes from zero to sixty in seconds. I moan into his mouth when his hands slide down my ass and grip it. He lifts me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist. Grayson turns to head back into the house. Before I know it, I’m tossed onto a bed and he’s slipping off his jacket. I notice for the first time that he has a gun at his back in a holster when he removes it.

“It’s to keep you safe. Now strip.” He doesn’t have to tell me twice. I’m out of my clothes and watching him put the gun in a safe. When he turns back around, I take in his completely naked body. The tattoos that mark his skin. His large erection and his thick balls. I move to my knees and drop my head, hoping he understands what I want and need from him.

I don’t raise my head, not even when I see his feet in my line of sight.

“I’m going to give you what you need, always, princess.” He lifts my chin. “Open,” he commands, and I do as he says. He feeds me his cock, and I take as much of it as I can. My core tightens from need, and I try not to shift, knowing I need to be a good sub if I want to get what I want. I keep my hands on my knees as he uses one of his to jack his cock while I suck the rest. His other hand is in my hair, pulling my head where he wants me. He controls it all. When my eyes burn and water from him going deeper, I swallow and am rewarded with him groaning. He pulls away from my sloppy mouth and lifts me up. I wrap around him. His cock between us as we kiss. We fall to the bed, and he kisses down my body across my tattoos and many piercings until he gets to my core, where he proceeds to eat me like a starving man. I’m moaning and thrashing around when he finally climbs over me and slides into me deep.

We make love with him thrusting in and out of me in long strokes. All the thoughts about if and how and why splinter apart just as my body does, and I scream his name. When Grayson comes, he growls my name and throws his head back. His long hair falling around his face.

The rest of the night we make love all around his house. On every surface, even the pool.

The sun blazesagainst my closed eyelids, and I hear not only Grayson’s gentle snores but the soft huff of another breath. When I open my eyes, I almost startle. Standing next to the bed with his face close to mine is Riggs. I must jerk slightly because Grayson’s arms tighten around me.

“Just a second, big guy.” I coo to Riggs. He followed me everywhere he could last night. Grayson would have to shut him from the room before we could make love because Riggs would get upset. He’s decided he needs to protect me, and I find it endearing.

Carefully, I extricate myself from Grayson’s strong hold. Looking around the room, I see my skirt and shirt, but I don’t feel like putting those on. I wish he had let me bring an overnight bag. I had to use his shampoo and body soap when we showered early this morning. I like that I smell like him, but I hate that my hair has a bit of frizz to it. I find his shirt that he wore yesterday and slip it on, buttoning it up to just between my breasts. I then see his ponytail holder and use it to twist my long hair up into a messy bun.

“Let’s find you some breakfast and me some coffee.”

I’m standing at the counter with coffee brewing and Riggs munching on his food when I hear the front door open. I look down at myself and then look at the room in a panic.

“Moy mal'chik,I can’t believe you don’t come home more often,” a woman says in a thickly accented cultured voice as she steps into the great room. “Oy, who are you?”

The woman is dressed in a blue-gray skirt and tunic with a bright colored light kimono jacket over it all. She’s elegant, poised, and refined in a way that can only be gained from years of not only training but knowing you’re above everyone else.

“I’m Erika.” I don’t give her more than that.

She looks me up and down and takes me in wearing Grayson’s shirt. When she is done looking me over, I can tell I’m lacking in her eyes. I don’t have to be introduced to know this is his grandmother. I’m shocked she just walked in here as if she owns everything.

She huffs and drops her designer purse on the counter. Riggs walks over and nuzzles against her before he comes to my side.

“Don’t think because his dog likes you that you will be staying. You canblyad’his brains out, but you’ll never get your dirty hands on that casino. His father made sure it was tied up in a way it’s legal and not part of the family business but still secure in a Morosov heir.” She spits the words out at me full of venom. I don’t need a translator to understand she said fuck.

“I’m not…” I pause as more of her words finally register. “Who—Who are you? Who is the Morosov family? And what casino?” Then it all hits me at once. What the other tattoo artist said. How everyone treats Grayson. I shake my head as I try to accept what the truth really is. I look down at my phone and do the only thing that will keep me my dignity. I swipe the Uber app and set up a ride for immediately.

“Oh, don’t be adurak. An idiot, in case you wanted to know. I’m Yelena Olga Morosov, the matriarch of the Morosov family. My son and grandsons are constantly making bad decisions. I won’t have Gray make the same mistake as my Vladimir. He will marry a woman of quality.” I look down at my wedding rings and back up at her as I process everything. “Oh, he can make that go away. If you held out for a ring, he can make paperwork disappear. He is bratva after all.”

I slip the rings off my finger and drop them on the counter. It’s as if the tinkling sound they make against the marble go off like a boom. Grayson steps out of his room and sees me. He takes in hisbabushkaand me. I look at him and hold the tears in so he can’t see how much he hurt me.

“Red.” It’s all I say as I move fast to the front of the house. I grab my purse as I hear his grandmother tell him to let me be. Riggs follows me, but I push him back. The Uber is pulling up, and I run out the door barefoot and half-dressed. I don’t care. I have my wallet and can get everything else. Grayson is yelling my name as I slam the door closed.

I had requested the Uber take me to a hotel off the Strip and close to the airport. I need to get out of this town. If I’ve learned anything over the last couple of days, it’s that Grayson won’t give up, and now I know he has unlimited resources to find me.

I’m not upset about the bratva truth, I suspected that. The fact that he owns the Lucky Dice turns my stomach. I thought I won best in show because of my talent, but it now appears that it was all because of him.
