“So, what do we need to do now?” Shawn asked as he and Kristin both looked at Hollie.

“Are you guys sure you want Hollie helping with this one? I mean, maybe it might be best if we had Sarah help Kristin with the spell.”

“Hey!” Hollie said as she stepped in front of me. “I am very capable of helping Kristin reverse the spell! I did yours.”

“That’s true. She did help you stop hurting yourself.”

I shot Kristin a “be quiet” look, then looked down at the hurt expression on Hollie’s face. My knees about buckled out from under me. The last thing I would ever want to do was hurt the woman I loved more than the air I breathed.

Focusing back on Hollie, I reached for her hands. “I believe in you, Hollie, and I trust that you know what you’re doing. I was kidding.”

The corner of her mouth rose in a wobble of a smile. “You really do trust me?”

Leaning down, I kissed her softly. “I really do.”

Shawn cleared his throat. “When will we do this reversal spell?”

“Sarah went to Lucy’s shop to get everything we need, and she said she’d meet me at your place or mine. Whichever you want. But you’re not mad?”

Shawn shook his head and smiled. “Nah. But maybe we can go ahead and go to my place now, and…”

Kristin blushed and looked at Hollie. “See, I told you. The sex would probably be out of this world.”

“No, Kristin!” Hollie stated.

Stomping her foot like a child, Kristin looked away. “Fine. Let’s go to your place since I think some candle has to stay lit.”

“Great! I’ll drive,” Shawn said as he took Kristin by the hand and nearly dragged her out of the kitchen.

“Should you go with them?” I asked.

Hollie glanced back at where the couple retreated and shook her head. “No. I don’t think Kristin will do anything. Sarah had a pretty good talk with her about taking advantage of Shawn when he’s under a spell.”

I laughed. “Trust me, Shawn is a guy. If he thought for any moment he could sleep with Kristin, spell or no spell, he’d jump at it.”

Hollie chewed nervously on her lower lip. “Maybe we should go and stay with them until Sarah brings everything for the reversal.”

Nodding, I said, “Let’s go get dressed and get over there.”

Lucas and I had gotten to Shawn’s house right in time. When we walked in, Shawn was attempting to talk Kristin into going to his bedroom. The moment she saw us, she rushed over and hid behind me.

“When is Sarah going to get here?” she asked.

“She’s here,” I said only moments before the bell rang.

Lucas looked at me and said, “I wonder if I’ll ever get used to that.”

I shrugged and winked. “I think it’s kind of fun, keeping you on your toes.”

Kristin sprinted to the door and opened it. “You’re here!” She grabbed Sarah and pulled her into Shawn’s living room.

“What do you need me to do?” Kristin and I both asked.

With a pointed look in my direction, Sarah said, “Since you helped her cast the spell, you’ll help her uncast it. I’ve written everything down, and I’ll be here should you need any help.”

I took the two bags and the paper from Sarah. “Okay. Got it.”
