I was wrong.
CHAPTER13

The belt cut through the air with a loud swish. I tensed, knowing it was coming and not really prepared for the reality of it either. The noise it made as it cracked against my backside reverberated throughout the room, vicious and cruel and everything I truly needed even though I didn’t necessarily want it.
But that was nothing compared to the stinging pain that came along with it.
It was like a line of raging fire. It started off like a simmer and I thought that was enough, but then it intensified into a fire that burned red hot long after the initial strike. The welt it left behind blazed and in my building panic, I went to push myself back up.
His hand on my lower back pushed me back down and another lash followed, just a bit lower than the first. There was no keeping silent for something like this. From the very beginning, my cries echoed around me, desperate and a bit frantic.
The belt rained down, again and again as it welted my backside. He didn’t miss a single inch and before long, my entire backside was burning and stinging far more than his hand had just a little while before. I tried to bite my lip and temper my cries, but it was useless.
It hurt far more than I thought it would. The stinging radiated hot and heavy and then he thrashed the tops of my thighs.
I knew I deserved it, which made every lash of the belt burn that much deeper. The burning agony dipped right into the depths of my soul, not allowing me to turn away from why Daddy was using his belt on me in the first place.
I’d put myself in danger by trying to keep Trevor a secret from him.
“I want to protect you, my little girl. I care about you very much and if you had gotten hurt and I could’ve have stopped it, how do you think that would have made me feel?”
I sniffled.
“Sad, Daddy,” I cried out, rising up on my toes as the cruel burn billowed across my bare bottom.
“I would have been very sad, little girl. I want you to remember that, so that’s why Daddy decided you needed his belt.”
He belted a bit further down my thighs and my whimpers became more pitifully desperate. My eyes watered, the sting that much more overwhelming.
“Daddy cares very much for you, my sweet little girl.”
“I’m sorry, Daddy,” I wailed. My voice shook, trembling from the emotional toll of such a hard punishment.
“I know you are, little girl. I forgive you,” he said softly, but the belting didn’t stop there.
If I was honest with myself, I didn’t need it to stop yet. I needed him to finish this exactly as he saw fit. This was the consequence of keeping secrets and putting myself at risk.
I wasn’t in control here.
Daddy was.
He was going to decide when I’d been punished enough. It was up to him when this would be over.
The ruthless bite of the belt bit into my naked cheeks over and over again. My eyes watered and I tried to blink. My toes drummed against the floor, and I tried to push up again, knowing full well that I wasn’t going anywhere until Daddy decided this was over.
I didn’t want to cry, but it wasn’t up to me.
Several hard lashes bit into the tops of my thighs, painting over the top of several welts already laid there. I sucked in a breath and suppressed a pitiful sounding cry. It stuck in the back of my throat and all at once, a sob racked through my body.
One tear fell. And another. Then another, so much so that a trail of tears dripped down my cheeks, slid down to my chin and stained the couch cushion beneath me. My body slumped and I stopped fighting.
“I’m so sorry, Daddy,” I wailed.
“Three more, little girl. Daddy is going to make sure you never forget this.”
The three lashes that followed were the hardest of all. They all fell right in the cusp of where the lower curve of my cheeks met the tops of my thighs. I cried a bit harder and then his arms wrapped around my waist as he lifted me up from the couch. He sat down and immediately placed me in his lap. I couldn’t keep myself from throwing my own arms around his neck and his strong hold around me squeezed me tight.
