I turn toward them. “I’m going to get my brother back.”I glance briefly toward Ilyric, guilt slightly creeping into me for the wounds inflicted on him by Isaac.

I shake it off and make my way to the door, but I’m stopped by four large bodies blocking it.

I look at each of their narrowed eyes and unmoving figures.

“Move.” I wasn’t willing to let anyone, even them, stand in my way.

“We will.” Jace smiles. “But we’re coming too.”

My brows furrow as I look at each of them.

Cole grunts in agreement as I turn to him, his eyes slightly softening toward me before becoming unreadable again.

Lucien gives me a dark smile, a twinkle in his eyes as he gazes toward me, and Ilyric gives me a curt nod. I look at each of them, their expressions all mirroring each other. All resolved and unwavering.

“Besides, you're going to need a bodyguard, babe, and I humbly accept the position.” Jace bows playfully as Cole side-eyes him.

“Not enough experience, pup,” he quips.“But I do.” He gives me a small nod as Jace chuckles beside him. A small warmth spreads through my chest as I gaze toward the men around me.I guess I wasn’t going alone.

“Are you sure?” I look into each set of eyes. “It could get pretty messy.”

“Babe, messy's my middle name—” Jace starts before stopping and awkwardly scratching his cheek. “I meant—”

“Sounds about right.” Cole smirks.

Jace swats the large demon on the shoulder, eliciting a raised brow.

Lucien rolls his eyes at the two, a tiny tilt to his lips as Ilyric frowns before turning his gaze to me. “So, when do we begin?” His eyes are eager and sharp.

Silence falls in the room as their attention draws to me.

I square out my shoulders, looking at each of them.

“Now.”
