I could hear snipping. Tearing of fabric. So odd. My eyelids fluttered slightly as I tried to open them, but they were stuck together.

Eww. Gross.

I had obviously fallen asleep with my makeup on. No more all-night drinking like this again. Hell, if the alcohol hadn’t been free, I wouldn’t have been. I was too poor for partying this hard.

I tried to lift my right hand to scrub my eyes open, but it was pinned down. I struggled to move the other arm. It, too, was pinned.

Fuck. FUCK!

Panicked, I moved around in earnest, struggling to get free of whatever was holding me. I couldn’t see. My breathing sped up as I officially freaked the fuck out.

“I didn’t mean to wake you, malishka,” rasped a familiar deep, masculine voice close to my left ear. “But please, save your energy.”

I froze. The accent was…notable, if not downright familiar. It wasn’t someone from the club. I didn’t know if I should be relieved or more terrified. Dizziness washed over me, and I swallowed back the rising vomit. The darkness was disorienting. What was over my eyes? Why couldn’t I see?

“You were sleeping like a little lamb, but I had to get that naughty dress off you.”

I tried to move my legs, but they were strapped down as well. I let out a shriek and started wriggling. “Let me out!” I cried.

A snarl rang through the air as he smacked my mound. “Don’t move. I need to get these string panties off as well.” Then he laughed darkly. “Be still or I might cut you.”

The threat was enough to comply. I felt the fabric give beneath the tension before the slip of material was pulled from between my thighs.

“You shouldn’t have been wearing something so skimpy to begin with. Tell me, who are you trying to impress, malishka?”

I knew that word.

Flashbacks of a night of passion with a stranger.

It haunted my memories. And my dreams.

“I know you,” I whispered. But I didn’t know his name.

“I forgot I had covered your eyes, malishka. Give me a moment.” Rough hands peeled something off my lids. “I just didn’t want any bright lights to wake you up prematurely.”

It was some kind of tape, judging by the slight ripping sound it made when he peeled it away. I think he took some of my eyelashes with him. For a brief moment I was terrified of opening my eyes.

Every time I think that my life can’t get any worse. It does.

“Look at me,” he rasped.

A dimly lit room coming into focus.

“You!” My voice broke from disuse. “Why the fuck am I here? Where the fuck am I?”

The handsome stranger from the bar, a nameless hookup that had rocked my world, stood before me, smirking at my surprise. His aura was more menacing than before, and a manic glint blazed in his eyes.

“You are here because you belong here. Wherehereis matters little at this time.” He leaned in close and inhaled deeply of me, nuzzling my neck before flicking his tongue out to taste my skin.

I gulped and turned my head away, but he yanked it back. “Do not pull away from me. Understand?”

I nodded. If I survived this debacle, I would never again drink and hookup with a stranger. I was trapped in a damn horror movie.

“Good.” With that pronouncement, he moved away from the bed.

My gaze darted around the room as anxiety pressed against my chest. I think I was literally too scared to vomit even though my stomach was twisted in knots. The bedroom was as luxurious as the hotel he’d taken me to—if not more so.
