“I’m here to escort you to your new room.”

“Thank you, Wolf,” Demi said.

“Just Amara, sweetheart. I believe Zeus wants to have a word with you.”

Demi narrowed her eyes. “What about?”

“He has an other offer for you. He’s arranging things with Devlin as we speak.”

“Devlin? Isn’t he the one that manages the strip club?” Demi asked.

“Yep.”

Demi grumbled. “Why would I want anything to do with that sleazy strip club? I just want to leave!”

Wolf sighed. “I know how hard you’ve tried to stay away from the club. We’re just looking out for you. Give it a few weeks—”

Demi slung her bag over her shoulder. “A few weeks?! You guys are all the same! You think I can call my boss in Miami and tell him I’ll be gone for another few weeks? I already missed out on two shows after our father died. If I don’t show my face any time soon, he won’t call on me for any next cruises.”

“That’s why Zeus wants you to talk to Devlin. You can help out the club.”

Amara dropped her pile of clothes on the bed. “Zeus would never ask that of her. He knows how she feels about the club.”

“Hear me out before you jump to any conclusions. Your sister can stay in town and still do what she loves most: dancing.”

Amara huffed. She couldn’t believe he’d even brought this up. “My sister is not a stripper.”

Wolf smirked like he’d known she would take the bait.

“It’s not for a spot on stage, Princess. Devlin’s Old Lady, Teagan, is not feeling too great since he’d knocked her up. Since Teagan works with the girls, they need someone else with a similar background to fill her spot and manage the girls. At least for the next few weeks.”

“That’s actually not a bad idea. Anything better than sitting around here.”

Amara knew by the tone of her sister’s voice that she wasn’t even remotely joking.

“The guys who hang around at the Pink Flower are nothing in comparison to the brothers here, sis.”

Amara tried to reason with her sister but Demi ignored her.

“Does that mean I get to sleep somewhere else?”

Wolf nodded. “Bondi and two prospects are there to make sure your stay there will be safe.”

“There’s a room for me?”

“There are a couple of rooms above the Pink Flower, yeah.”

Amara flung her hair over her shoulder. “Why can’t I go with Demi?”

“Because that’s what your brothers decided. They know how Demi hates it here and that she could be of use for the club at the strip club. It’s the second safest place during lockdown, since there will be brothers around Demi at all times.”

“I still don’t understand why I can’t go with Demi.”

Wolf furrowed his brows. “Even though Bondi will be with Demi at all times, Zeus and Demon prefer it that he only has one sister to look out for.”

Amara couldn’t help but think that keeping her away from Bondi had something to do with their little flirt this morning.

Demi padded her palm against Wolf’s shoulder before she stepped around him. “Thanks for telling me, Wolf. I’ll go find Bondi so I can get out of here. Give them hell, sis.”
