“Can you please stop with the ‘Princess’ already?”

Thinking about her kidnapped friend made her scared and sad, but it also put her awfully on edge. She opened one eye just in time to find him staring at her boobs behind her sweatshirt.

“My eyes are up here, bozo.”

“Bozo?”

His upper lip pulled into a smirk. “I know they’re up there. But since you’ve kept those gorgeous fuckers shut, your second-best feature drew my attention.”

“My boobs are my second-best feature?”

She felt her chest rise and fall as her heart almost traipsed over itself in its irrational rhythm. He’d never said anything of the sort to her before. And that had always bothered her immensely since the man talked about nothing else but sex with everyone else he ever came in contact with.

“Like I said: right after your eyes.”

“My ass is way better than my boobs.”

With a natural and firm apple shaped butt, and a nice toned and flat stomach, she knew that she had something to work with in that department. Her boobs on the other hand had always been too big for her body.

It’s why she always kept them confined in a sports bra. Except for tonight, though, since she’d been chilling with her sister Demi while drinking and dancing in the living room before Cat showed up.

She looked like a homeless person tonight—a sickly, braless, homeless person. The reminder of not wearing a bra had her cross her arms over her chest, just to cover the ladies.

Wolf’s gray eyes followed the movement of her breasts underneath her clothes. He lowered his voice and said, “I disagree, babe. It’s taking me every bit of fuckin’ self restraint to not yank that sweatshirt over your head and take one of those hard nipples that’s been pokin’ the life out of your shirt into my mouth.”

Amara’s already wide eyes almost fell out of their sockets.

Wolf blinked a few times before he quickly stood from the bathroom floor. It didn’t take long before her brother entered the bathroom. Wolf probably heard his best friend walking up to the bathroom as the third floorboard of this old house creaked in the hallway.

“Kamari mou…”

Their parents had always called Amara and her sistertheir prideand her brothers never stopped using the Greek endearment. Hearing the love in her brother’s voice warmed her empty stomach.

“Demon found Cat,” Zeus said.

“That’s good news, brother. I’ll give you two a sec,” Wolf said before he gave Zeus a nod and left the bathroom without a backward glance.

Amara hugged Zeus, crying against his chest. “Thank God! Is she okay?”

Zeus stilled for just a fraction, giving away that she would not hear the ins and outs as he considered his next words.

“She’s a bit shaken up but I believe she’ll fully recover. They’ll be at the clubhouse soon. You can probably visit her tomorrow. Demi is already packing her stuff.”

“Pack?”

Zeus slid his arm over her shoulder and walked her out of the bathroom.

“Our sister will also stay at the clubhouse. Gwenn is already in your room, stacking piles of clothes on your bed so you can check what clothes you’d like bring.”

Amara let go of her brother’s arm when they held still underneath the stairs.

“I’m not letting you bulldoze us in staying at the clubhouse for yet another lockdown. We have our own lives, you know. Demi hates the club! And I’m also not going. Not even for a single night.”

Even though the main vet at the clinic could contact other veterinarian assistants to fill in for Amara at work on Monday, her colleague Betty would probably break down and cry again if Amara wasn’t there to help her out.

Zeus pinched the bridge of his nose. “Princess…”

“And stop calling me that!”
