He turned his head to see his puppy behind the gate in the hallway whining to get some love and attention too.

“So...do you think he’ll be okay loose for a bit or do you need to lock him up?”

He frowned. “Are we going somewhere?”

She dipped her head down. “I was hoping upstairs.”

He let out a breath. “Thank God,” he said.

“I’m sorry I haven’t been ready before now.”

“I’m not pushing you,” he said. “I wouldn’t do that. It’s just that little move you did, you’re testing me. I didn’t know I had this much willpower.”

She laughed. “What move?”

“The one with your hips against me.”

“Must have been involuntary because I didn’t know I did anything.”

“Doesn’t matter,” he said. “Let’s go upstairs. George should be fine. I leave him loose all the time while I move around the house. The TV is on. He’ll think I’m putting laundry away or something.”

He grabbed her hand and pulled her up the stairs that George couldn’t access. Thankfully they were before the entrance into the big open area in the back.

“I haven’t been up here yet,” she said.

“Not much to see other than my room.”

He pulled her in between the double doors, leaving them open. No reason to close them.

Gillian’s arms went around his neck again, her mouth to his. “Don’t be gentle.”

“Excuse me?” he said. Who the hell was this and what did that mean?

“That came out wrong,” she said, stepping back. “You know I haven’t been with anyone in two years. And only Mike. I’ve taken time to get to this point and you’ve been very considerate to give it to me. But I don’t want you to feel like you’ve got to handle me like I’m going to break. I’m not. There is part of me that just wants to lose myself and if you take over I will.”

“I can do that,” he said.

He grabbed her face in his hands and started to kiss her again. Soft and gentle.

She laughed and wiggled away. “You’re being gentle.” She grabbed his shirtfront and yanked him close to her, her mouth plastering against his, the kiss more aggressive than one they’ve had yet.

Her hands went to his shirt and lifted it up, sliding under and touching his skin.

It seemed to him she was taking control and he was going to let her and not even point it out.

The next thing he knew his shirt was up and over his head and she was staring at him. “Problem?” he asked.

“No,” she said. “You’ve got a nice chest on you. I shouldn’t have waited this long to see it. Wow.”

“Thank you,” he said, reaching for her shirt. “Let me see if I can return the compliment.”

She giggled again and started to lift her shirt, but he pushed her hands away and did it for her. She hada white lace bra on that was both innocent and sexy at the same time.

“Well?” she asked.

His knuckles traced the swell of her breast down the right side and up the left. “Very nice. Better than nice. You’ve got one hell of a body on you too. But I’d expect as much with as healthy as you are.”

“It’s a matching set.”
