I smile brightly, pecking his lips. “I love what you do to my body too.”

I swear if things don’t work out between us, he has set the barrier way too high for other men. I think I will end up alone with eight cats because no man can compare to him, or what he can do to me, not only sexually but in all ways.

He has ruined me for other men.

Alanaand I arrived at my cabin an hour ago. I gave her the tour, and she seemed to be in love with the place. We are relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine, along with strawberries and chocolate sauce for a snack. It is peaceful, barely a sound can be heard, only the odd noises of nature.

“It is beautiful here.” Alana smiles from next to me.

“Yes. I love it up here because it is away from everything and everyone.” It’s my escape away from all the chaos.

“Why haven’t you ever mentioned it? You told me all the properties you own, but I don’t remember this one being on the list,” she asks, glancing up at me.

I smile, wrapping my arm around her shoulder. “No one knows about this place. You are the first person I have ever brought here.”

“I am?” Surprise is written all over her face.

“Yes. I haven’t felt the need to bring anyone until you. I am sorry if this isn’t the date you had in mind, angel.” I sigh, realizing when I said I would take her on a date, she maybe thought I meant dinner at a nice restaurant or something. I wish we could go on a date in public, but we can’t, not right now anyway.

“No, this is perfect, babe. I love it,” she coos, kissing me softly.

I run my fingers through my hair. “I hate hiding you from the world, Alana,”

“I hate it too, but for now, it is our only option, babe. It is what we need to do if we want to spend time together.” She is trying to sound optimistic, but there is a hint of sadness in her voice.

“It won’t be for too much longer,” I promise her.

Alana rests her hand on my thigh, smiling brightly at me. “Come on now, let’s not focus on all of that right now. Let’s enjoy where we are.”

“Good idea,” I agree, as she snuggles into me.

She nuzzles her neck in my face. “Thank you for showing me your safe place, Ezra.”

I kiss the top of her head. “I like sharing it with you, bright eyes.”

The fact that I brought her here tells me where my heart lies. I have never experienced such a bond with someone, such a connection. I believe when we shared our pasts with each other it made everything stronger between us because to tell things like that to anyone, the trust needs to be there.

“Do you have any more secret places I should know about?” she teases.

“I have a dungeon hidden away to put naughty girls in.” I chuckle, playing along.

Alana laughs loudly. “Oh, kinky.”

“I thought you would like that.” I smirk, rubbing her thigh under the water.

She flashes a dorky smile my way before leaning over to kiss me. It is a gentle kiss, enough to make my lips grow into a smile too. She winks at me before resting back and taking a sip of her wine.

“Do you want to head inside? It is getting colder out here.” Yes, the hot tub is warm, but you can still feel the breeze.

“Sure. Hot chocolate in front of a log fire is something I would like to do.” She looks at me, batting her lashes to make sure she gets what she wants.

I chuckle, shaking my head. “Yes, I like the idea too, so no need to bat your lashes at me, bright eyes.”

“It was a special effort in case you didn’t want to.” She giggles, standing up and climbing out of the hot tub.

She has one of my tees and a pair of my boxers on since we didn’t bring any swimwear. I groan, taking in the view of her for a moment, loving the way my clothes cling to her body.

Alana playfully rolls her beautiful brown eyes at me. “Get your ass out, pervert.”
