Drew took a neat bite of a sandwich, chewed, and swallow. “He told you about that, huh?”

“So, it’s true?”

“I’ve already got an offer from a friend from NYU. I’m gonnatake it.”

I finished off the rest of my sandwich and stopped myself from grabbing another. If I let myself, I could eat the whole plate. “Well, you’re not going to hear me complaining about that. I’ve missed my bigbrother.”

A soft look overtook Drew’s face. “I’ve missed you too, Riles.”

“What about Mason? He was freaking out a little bit. Seemed to think you guys were doomed to end in a ball of flames. Did you get him to…” I gave his hickey-covered chest a pointed glance. “… calm down?”

Drew rubbed the corner of his eye with his middle finger. “We had a talk, and I reasonedwith him.”

“Right. And when that didn’t work?”

“Then I called him a pussy and dared him to nut up.”

I burst into laughter. Damn. That would be sure to give Mason the push he needed. If I had any doubts about Mason and Drew’s compatibility, they were gone now. Then a sobering thought occurred to me. “Wait. Are you going back into the closet? Because Mason’s only out to us and his family.”

“Yeah.For now.”

“And you’re okay with that?”

Drew finished his sandwich and grabbed another. “I know what I’m getting into.”

I watched him dubiously. Drew had come out the second he knew that he was gay. He’d never hidden his sexuality a day in his life, but I didn’t question him. Drew wasn’t impulsive. If he decided to do this, he had already made a pros-and-cons list and had chosen the best option.

“Speaking of. Do you know what you’re getting into withKingston?”

I waved away his concerns. “I like Sebastian. He’s nice and hot.” Drew nodded in agreement at that. “And we both know what our priorities are. We’re not dating. We’re just casually hanging out. In secret.”

“Hanging out,” he repeated indisbelief.

I smirked at him and wiggled my eyebrows. “Yep.”

His nose scrunched. “Nasty, Riles.”

“What’s nasty?” Mason asked as he came sauntering into the kitchen, wearing only jeans and covered in the same marks as Drew. He immediately zeroed in on the stack of food and grabbed two sandwiches from the top ofthe pile.

“Nothing I want to talk about if I plan to get this sandwich down.”

“Aww, come on. You were the one to give me the birds and the bees talk,”I teased.

“Ughh. God, woman.” Drew turned to Mason. “Do you want some water, babe?”

“Yes, please,” Mason answered, and Drew was off to the fridge.

Aww, they were adorable. Mason must have read my mind because he stuck his tongue out at me. I just leaned back on the counter and waited.

It only took a second for him to clock my pantsuit—the same one I was wearing last night. And I did not doubt that my hair could use a brush.

His eyebrows shot up.There we go. We both got laid last night.

Then with a look to make sure Drew was distracted, Mason stuck his fist out. I bumped it in victory.

During the next game, Kingston and I were perfectly civil. As far as the team knew, we had gotten over that little antagonist bump and were now friends. We talked casually and amicably in the locker room as usual but made sure to stay a respectable distance apart and keep our eyes to ourselves. If anything, I looked at him less than I did before.

On the ice, however, we barely had to makean effort.
