I won’t text. I’m not interested.

Colin sends me a wave and I return it before loping out of the senior living facility.

Just one more job before I can head over to see William.

My phone buzzes and I glance down at it.

Diablo:Here’s her info.

Oh, Susana, you tried to be sly, but you stand no chance against me. Well, against Diablo. Sometimes I like to delegate. I’d rather be spending my time watching William.

Plus, Diablo works faster than me.

He has a special talent, and we have a barter agreement.

Diablo:I can take care of her for you but it’s gonna cost.

I ponder that. But realize it will be too much fun to miss, watching this woman squirm. I want her to know that we mean business. Plus, I have a sick desire to meet this vile woman.

Me:Why don’t we do it together?

Diablo:Fine. But you clean up any mess. Just send me the date and time. I’ll be there.

Lazy, cheap ass. He always wants to go along for the fun but refuses to do any of the maintenance that goes along with it.

I rush through my next job just so I can get to William faster.

As I park outside his building, I hope he’s in his office. I pull up the video feed of him on my phone to check, and sure enough, he’s staring right at the camera, his bottom lip pulled between his teeth.

Dirty, filthy man.

He better be wearing those panties I sent him.

Jason glowers at me as I make my way toward William’s office door. Thankfully this time he doesn’t bother stopping me.

Perhaps it was the threat of chopping off those chubby fingers of his. He’s still sweating profusely. He has a miniature fan buzzing away on his desk. It’s obviously not helping.

“See a doctor, Jason. It’s becoming serious,” I say as I pass him.

Jason just grunts.

One day I’ll show up and he’ll be face down on his desk. Deceased.

I won’t even be surprised.

I push the door open to see William looking absolutely edible in his chair, wearing a fitted navy suit and silver tie. His hair looks like he’s been running his fingers through it and his lips are red and plump from biting them. He looks nothing like a dull and stuffy accountant should look. No, he somehow makes a two-piece suit look purely vulgar.

He glances up at my intrusion and when his blue eyes meet mine, my heart rate triples and my palms sweat.

Hmm, I should speak with Elliot about this and see if it’s normal. Maybe I caught Jason’s sweaty-man heart disease.

“Look forward to working with you, William,” the voice on the speakerphone says and when I wet my lips and eye him, he blushes deeply.

Oh, he’s thinking of all the filthy things I can do to him. I’m sure he’s missed me. He’s just as insatiable as I am.

He ends the call and then stands up abruptly, his chair rolling back and knocking against the wall.
