That corset of hers was giving me ideas, and before she knew it, I caught on to it and turned it into a leash, controlling her body to move exactly as I pleased.

I needed to prove a point. I wasn’t king only at the Academy, and she was going to find out that thehardway.

Gentle wasn’t a word in my vocabulary that night, I was going forpleasure by painand that was bringing both of us close to our limits sooner than I might have wished.

It was a rough intrusion of senses as the more helpless she seemed, the more I was fighting to destroy her. Her anguish was hurrying my elation, especially knowing that she was still fighting the sensations that were exploding within her.

‘Cole,’ she was breathlessly begging me to finish, while I was trying to decide if I should play nice and let her rest or totally break her.

‘Did you have enough, Mouse?’ I chose to play the nice card... or maybe just the arrogant one. She was going to be taken to heaven by the nastiest devil of all.

A desperateyesssechoed through the room, as the shuddering of her thighs was fueling the need for my own ecstasy. Her corset purred, one step away from being ripped under my hands, moving faster and deeper until the liquid result of my elation had gathered within her.

‘There’s a lot more from where that came from,’ I was tempted to go for a third try, but the rapid beats of her heart and her still panting breath were silently pleading to me for a postponement. Besides, I already proved my point, and somehow stilled my needs… not entirely though.

As I suspected, her strengths have left her completely. ‘Now!?’ She asked with a ragged voice fearing that I might go on.

‘Not now. I’m pretty sure you would end up in a hospital if it wasnow. But soon. Just keep that thought in mind.’ I slowly bit her ear, rolling off of her so she could finally breathe, just so I could crash an arm on top of her, caging my prisoner.

Securing my new prey to the mattress, I closed my eyes for a moment of rest. The whiskey combined with my workout session had made the room swirl around me with increasing speed, so thefew momentsturned into a whole hour.

Funny how Bea seemed to be even more tired than I was, being deep asleep as her nose sunken into my chest. ‘Mouse, you need to wake up.’

Although it wasn’t my intention, my voice made her jump off into a sitting position in a flash second. ‘Did I fall asleep?’

‘Yes, for an hour or so. People are starting to leave. We should go too, but you can come back to my place. Continue where we left off.’ Maybe we couldn’t remain at the party, but we could for sure pursue what we had begun.

She didn’t even get a chance to answer, being way too scared at what a few more hours in my company could bring. Before I knew it, she was stumbling in a pile of clothes while my boxers seemed to have stuck themselves on her heels. ‘Can I have those back? Or are you keeping them as a memory?’ Not that I had anything I needed to cover, and judging by the embarrassed look on her face she noticed it too.

‘Y...yess,’ she babbled, looking straight at my cock, as I felt myself extremely ready for round three. That must’ve totally scared her off. She seemed to keep attempting to put her clothes back on while gazing in the mirror and trying to fix her ruined makeup. ‘Shit, I look like hell.’

‘No, you look like I’ve just fucked you.’ I walked behind her, untying the strings of her corset.

‘Can you please stop talking like that?’

‘Yeah, I’ll stop. I’ll stop when I’m sure that my words don’t make you wet in anticipation. I’ll stop when these no longer respond to my words,’ I caught one of her nipples between my lips, rolling my tongue over the hardened piece of throbbing flesh.

I wanted her so badly again that I was beginning to think she could be some kind of a drug. That’s until those wicked lips of hers opened to speak. ‘You think you’ve got me all figured out. That I was dying to get in bed with you but wasn’t able to find a way to directly tell you.’

I wasn’t sure if she was just saying it out of some uncertainty over her own feelings, or if she really meant it. It didn’t even matter anyway because she was breaking our spell. And that could only mean that it was time for the nightmare to replace the impossible fantasy.

‘I tried to play nice. Just when I thought we were getting somewhere. I guess I’ll need to reconsider the way I handle our relationship. A much more entertaining approach....’ I couldn’t let her off the hook after that suddenconfession. Some kind of punishment was in order and that was exactly what I had in mind. Though not there and then. Her time would come.

My jeans were the only piece of clothing I managed to put on before I felt forced to leave the room. My blood was boiling with increasing speed, and I feared any consequences it might have upon her. Grabbing my shirt and jacket, I walked into the hallway, slamming the door behind me.

I was still a part of the dealto her, and even if my brain was trying to convince me that it was better that way, my heart was anguished by unprecedented turmoil.

Shithead, I cursed myself, lighting a cigarette and grabbing another bottle of whiskey on my way out. I fucked up big time, and it wasn’t about the hour of pleasure. It was about finding something in that room besides ecstasy — some sick feeling that maybe the world didn’t revolve around me, and one day I might discovermy worldcould revolve around someone completely unpredictable.

Chapter 8

Mouse’s attitude had fucking pissed me off, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to go through with my end of the deal. Sooner or later I was going to meet with her anyway, so Ferris’ invitation to the mansion for a business gathering seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Besides, I liked spending time with Ferris, going over old memories of the times when we ruled over the Academy. I missed both him and Brax, even though none of us was too good at expressing feelings.

Strangely how by their side, ruling over Echo City didn’t seem such a bad idea any longer.

The meeting went by with no difficulty. Okay, maybe just Ferris and me teasing Mouse a little. Nothing too significant since Ferris’s anxiety problems were far from getting him in a playful mood. On the contrary, I could feel him tensed to his max, like a ticking bomb waiting to go off.
