It hurt more than we’d been told, even with all the slick, even with my sex primed for something huge and distinctlyalpha, but as soon as he had that giant knot worked inside me, my body clamped down hard around it like it knew just what to do. The orgasm they had denied me for way too longboomedlike a bomb, the fire all-consuming, the pleasure far beyond any vampire’s bite. I screamed and bucked, writhing and moaning and gasping, in love with thisfeeling.

I used to scoff and roll my eyes during talks of knots and ruts because I’d had sex already. In secret. With a beta. It really wasn’t much to write home about, and I figured—given how douchey every Bog alpha was, how gross and pretentious the Mistletoe d-bags were from the start—it would be a same shit, different day thing when an alpha finally did knot me.

But this was paradise.

This was everything I never knew I needed—everything I’d been missing.

“Good girl,” Ambrose gritted out behind me, massaging my hips, his words choked and clipped as I tightened even harder around him, refusing to let him and his knot goanywhere—not when it grabbed my orgasm and dragged it out to the horizon. “V-verygood, Hollis…”

Kane and Laszlo had sweet nothings to whisper too, but the nuances blended into a bunch of alpha growls and purrs and snarls. Ambrose rocked as much as our locked bodies allowed, and my eyes just about rolled into the back of my skull, every touch, the slightest of movements, hauling my climax back to the starting line so the gun could fire all over again.Bang. Adrenaline. Pleasure. Connection. Desire.

Bond.

Laszlo knelt below to lick my clit.

Kane cupped my face and tipped it to the side, purring, rumbling, murmuring my name like a prayer before he sank his fangs into my neck.

Overwhelmed by all of it, I closed my eyes. The golden light behind my lids faded, and I was gone, adrift on a black sea of pleasure, never, ever to return.

Chapter7

Ambrose

“Okay, so, I got her situated in the bath,” Laszlo announced as he slipped back into the dungeon suite. The door clicked shut behind him, and his stride echoed as he headed for the armchairs. “I told the manager I would return for her in a half hour, and I wanted extra blankets, pillows—the works.” My bond then flopped into the empty chair beside Kane’s, eyes rimmed in dark, faded rings, the turn this night had taken draining for all of us. “Then I put an order in at the kitchens for hot chocolate with extra whip and caramel drizzle, chocolate truffles, candy canes, gingerbread cookies… Do you think that will be enough?”

“Is that really the question you want to ask?”

Hands threaded on my chest, I glanced between my bonds from my spot on the rug that smelled like sweat and snowdrops. Kane sounded pissy beyond belief, his stare a million miles away, his posture defeatist to the extreme. Laszlo, meanwhile, looked unusually rumpled, like he’d stolen a good, deep kiss from our blood bond before leaving her to tidy up after her first knot.

There was a bed in this suite, some padded sex furniture, but there was nowhere I’d rather be than right here, surrounded byhereven when she was gone. Ankles crossed, stretched out like I was in my beloved coffin, I distracted myself with the ceiling, the mood before Laszlo’s return contemplative, silent—morose.

Everything took a steep nosedive after we finished our scene. Rousing Hollis had taken some effort, her smile dreamy and her gaze unfocused, her limbs like jelly—so, yes, twist Laszlo’s arm, but he’d needed to wrap her in a blanket, cuddle her to his chest, and carry her out of here for the appropriate aftercare and cleanup. I trusted my youngest bond to do our blood bond justice in that regard, his softness, kindness, and care legendary among submissives we’d played with in the past.

But this wasn’t a game. This wasn’tplay.

We had the rest of the night to revel in her company, hours ahead, the darkness young, but everything was just so…messynow.

“Fine,” Laszlo rumbled in an ancient but elegant vampiric tongue, a regional dialect known only to a few, long lost to the world of today. After all, even in a place that promised privacy and discretion, one really never knew who was listening. “What are we going to do about this?”

“About what?” I muttered, needing a few ridiculously long moments for my brain to transition into the old language. Bobbing my feet, I slowly mapped the black-painted ductwork from one side of the suite to the other. Laszlo hissed softly, his displeasure rippling in our bond.

“You know.” If anyone dared prod my buttons in this coven, it was Kane—but now here was Laz,fighting, pushing back for once. “No games, Ambrose—Kane. None.”

“What the fuck would we even do with an omega?” Kane snapped, his pronunciation the roughest of we three, growly and deep and monstrous.

“What we did tonight,” Laszlo argued. “It’s not complicated. Packs claim omegas every day—”

“And that’s fair to her?” Kane brought his elbows to his knees, his huge hands dangling and adorned with thick rings, black iron for our coven and gold for our Graves affiliation, fingers still scented with her blood and slick. “Just fuck her regularly but never give her children? Why even have a nest, then? Whybean omega?”

“The goddess chose her for us—”

“Don’t give me that shit,” Kane barked, cutting Laszlo off with not only his words but an icy warning in our bond. He leaned back in his chair, fidgety while Laz was so very still, his enormous frame stretching and twisting as he tried and failed to settle. “You can’t sell me that nonsense—”

“She’s our blood bond,” Laszlo insisted evenly. “That’s it.” His certainty hung heavy in the air. It should have quieted the raging seas in our bond, but his sureness was just fuel to the fire. “This shouldn’t even be a discussion.”

I closed my eyes when Kane scoffed.

“We vowed to never take an omega, Laz.”
