“She is refusing to let anyone in,” Ludis says.

“What?” I frown. For a moment, I’m confused until it dawns on me that he is referring to Aurora. “What do you mean she isn’t letting anyone in?”

Godammit, I can’t believe she’s still playing this childish fucking game!

“Your wifesays she wants to be alone. The stylists are waiting outside,” he says. I ignore the way he stresses the words “your wife.”

Ordinarily, I’d tell him to smash open the door. But my littleSolnishkoseems to need yet another lesson in obedience.

Perhaps the last one didn’t sink in. The thought makes my cock strain against my pants.

“We’ll see about that,” I mutter as I stand and stride past Ludis. He walks behind me as I start heading to Aurora’s room.

I find the stylists Ludis is talking about standing in front of her door. I grab the door handle and open it. I’m surprised when the door opens easily. I glance at Ludis and arch my brows. The way he’d spoken, I’d assumed she locked the door.

“She made it clear that she doesn’t want anyone in her room,” Ludis says.

Since when did Ludis start taking orders from Aurora?

In spite of myself, I’m stifling a smile. My fiery queen can issue commands that are followed without question.

“No interruptions,” I tell Ludis as I enter the room and shut the door. My resolve almost breaks when I find Aurora sitting on the bed with a book in her hand. She raises her head slightly and returns her attention to the book she is reading.

Am I being dismissed?

“You didn’t lock the door,” I tell her. She raises her head and looks at me coolly as I stop beside her bed.

“What’s the point? You’d only unlock it with a spare key. Or knock it down,” she says with a shrug before returning her attention to the book in her hands.

“You’re right,” I tell her before I take my seat on the chair facing her bed. I notice Aurora follows my movement with her eyes.

“We have a dinner party tonight,” I announce, and my words meet silence. She doesn’t seem impressed.

“How nice of you to inform me,” Aurora says with sarcasm in her tone. She refuses to meet my eyes, and I sense that her defiance masks roiling emotions. I have no doubt our earlier encounter has left her unsettled.

“It’s an important party, and you will attend it with me,” I continue, ignoring her response.

“I will? Is that supposed to make me happy?” she scoffs.

“I don’t care what makes you happy,” I snap. It’s a lie. I want to be what makes her happy. But I’ll fucking roll over and die before I let her know that.

“I would rather stay in my room,” she says.

“That isn’t an option,” I tell her with a shrug. I’m impressed when she holds my gaze and glares at me.

“Typical Lev. He commands and expects everyone to follow,” she keeps her tone airy. Spoiled little bitch. She’s going to regret this before the day is out. But I let her continue, just to seal the deal. “I have bad news and it’s the fact that I’m not backing down on this. I’m not going anywhere with you,” she says.

With a determined look, I stand and walk the short distance between the chair and the bed until I’m hovering above her. Her eyes widen when I place my hands on either side of her body and lean down.

I see fear and an underlying hunger in her eyes.

Oh, yes… She feels it too. Even though her pussy must still be aching from the pounding I gave her. The need is unmistakable.

“Do you like defying me at every turn?” I ask, and her eyes flicker back to my face.

“Do you like forcing your will upon me at every turn?” She asks, licking her lips. It amuses me that she is trying to put on a brave face when she is radiating fear. Fear is good…but it’s not what I truly want. What I want is her passion. Her hunger.

It will come.
