I quickly fumble with my car key, trying to jab it into the lock, but before I can get there, a leather cladded arm grabs mine, flipping me around and slamming my back into my car.

"You owe me money," Leo snarls, jabbing his finger in my face.

"I don't have any money. All I had is on the bar. Take it," I say, trying to stay calm.

I'm not in the position to let my smart mouth get carried away. I got my ass kicked last time by them, and this time, there's no Rebels here to save me.

I watch in horror as Jimmy strolls up to us, making me outnumbered.

"All alone this time, aren't you? Where's your precious Rebs now?" Jimmy asks, smirking at me.

I have no idea how I'm going to talk my way out of this one. And they aren't going to just let me go. I could try to take them, but I know my chances aren't good. There's no way I'll be able to fight one off, let alone both of them.

"Look, it was a misunderstanding. It happened, there's money on the bar. I'll quietly leave and won't return," I try offering again.

Leo's eyes darken. "I don't like your attitude. Bitches like you think you're equal and shit. You need to learn your place."

His fist comes out quicker than I can react, landing a blow to my stomach. I cry out, doubling over, but I'm quickly shoved back against the car door, my head hitting the metal frame.

Leo grabs me by the throat, flinging me across the gravel. I land with a heavy oompf on the hard rocks, sliding from the momentum.

Jimmy descends on me, standing over me as I try to move backwards on my hands. He laughs, following me.

"Not so tough now without your friends, are you?" he mocks, leaning down to clock me in the cheek.

The two of them laugh as my head falls back onto the ground. I'm stuck and the only hope I have is that Volts has called for help.

Leo shoves Jimmy out of the way, grabbing the front of my shirt to lift me up. My hands automatically wrap around his wrists as I try to fight back. A shot of annoyance crosses his face, and he lets go of one of his hands, pulling back his fist. I close my eyes and brace myself for the impact.

"Let her go."

My eyes shoot open, watching as Jimmy and Leo look behind me to the newcomer. I swing my head around to look, gaping in disbelief at the sight of Blake.

"I said let her go."

Blake crosses the carpark, stopping when he reaches us. He looks down at me, his face blank.

"Keep out of this," Leo growls at him.

Blake's eyes darken towards him. "No, I don't think I will. Now remove your hands from her before I do it for you."

Leo hesitates for a moment before shoving me back flat on the ground. I resist the urge to make a sound, watching with bated breath as he stands up.

Jimmy takes a step towards Blake, sizing him up. "Who the fuck do you think you are ordering me around? Do you have any idea who I am?"

Blake rolls his eyes. "Yeah, yeah… big man in power here at thischapter. You don't run shit though. And you certainly have some nerve beating up defenceless women in carparks."

I stay completely still, unsure how to react or what to even think. Jimmy curses Blake, grabbing Leo by the scruff of his leather jacket collar.

"You'll pay for this," he spits at Blake as he passes, dragging his near foaming friend behind him.

When I hear the bar door close behind them, I scramble up, whining as my head pounds. I check the back of my head, relieved to see there's no blood.

"Seriously… you can't even be in town for a week without causing some type of trouble?" Blake mutters angrily.

I look at him in shock. He's wearing long jeans, a cotton shirt, a leather jacket and army boots. He looks exactly like every other person here…

"You're a biker…." I murmur, eyes wide.
