The three of us watch as Blake turns around and heads back inside Wheels.

"Why didn't you tell us one of your brothers was a biker?" Chuck asks, hurt in his voice.

"Because I didn't know," I mutter, watching the door swing to a close.

Butch puts his hand on my shoulder gently. "Are you okay, Lee?"

I nod. "I'm fine. Nothing some Tylenol won't fix."

Butch looks at Chuck, giving him a stern look. "I'll organize for someone to grab your bike. Can you drive Lee back to her friend's?"

Chuck nods, putting his hand out for my keys. I hand them over, knowing there's no use arguing. I'm not fit to drive right now, and frankly, I want to see Chuck.

I watch as Butch turns to head towards Wheels and I frantically grab his jacket. "Wait. The Norsemen are in there."

He gives me a tight smile. "I know. I'll be fine, I promise. Go get some rest. I'll check in on you later."

I feel Chuck put his arm around my waist, pulling me towards the car.

"Come on, babe."

I let him walk me to the car, the two of us climbing into my Chevy. I slip into the passenger seat, watching as he gets into the driver's side and starts up the engine.

We pull out of the car park and I reach down to grab his hand. "I was so worried about you."

He gives my hand a squeeze. "I know. I'm sorry. I really hate that this is how I get to see you. But fuck, Rylee… I'm mad at you too."

"Why?" I ask shocked.

Chuck glances over. "Are you kidding? Why are you coming to drink at Wheels on your own? You know we aren't there much at the moment."

"I was hoping you might be," I mutter, feeling guilty that I'm only telling half the truth.

He sighs. "This doesn't change anything, babe. I'm sorry… if I could come back to Rosevale, I would."

My heart hurts at his confession, that little bit of hope I had drowning in the emotions that sit in the hollow pit of my stomach.

"Okay," I mumble sadly.

"Hey," he says, squeezing my hand again. "Who knows what the future might hold? But for now, you need to go back.

I nod, tears falling down my cheeks. Chuck sighs but doesn't say anything.

I quietly give him directions to Phoebe's place, and when we pull up, I start to walk towards the door. I turn, noticing that he's still by the car.

"Are you coming?" I ask, hopefully.

Chuck shakes his head. "Sorry, babe. I need to go. But promise me you'll get out of town the first chance you get."

I don't move, my bottom lip threatening to quiver as I stare at him. He walks over to me, pulling me into a hug.

"Oh, Ry. I miss you. But you know Carmen, Jeremy and Jasmine will look after you. This isn't the life for you. You're more than this stupid town and your dumbass brothers."

I hug him back, nodding into his jacket. He leans down, kissing my forehead.

"Now, go inside, take a long shower, some pain relief and rest up. Message Butch when you are back home."

Chuck watches my facial expression, his fingers stroking my bruising cheek before he gives me a sad smile. He hovers for a few more seconds, before turning and walking off, heading down the street on foot. I watch him until he's out of view, and when he's gone, I sit down on Phoebe's front door step, crying until I'm able to pull myself together to go inside.
