"What are you guys doing today?" I ask Asher and Zayn, munching on some toast.

Zayn leans back in his chair. "I'm going to hang out by the pool. It's a nice sunny day."

"Ash?" I ask, causing him to look at me. He looks surprised that I haven't used his full name for once.

"I've got to finish an assessment," he replies quietly.

Brightmore is still a touchy subject, but I nod, doing my best to just deal with the situation.

"Maybe later we can all hang out by the pool," I offer, feeling oddly nice.

It feels like something has shifted in all of our relationships. It's …nice.

After breakfast, I get changed and meet Blake by the front door. I pop my sunglasses on as we head outside, the sun warm on my skin.

"We'll take the jeep," he says, swinging a set of keys in his hand.

I head over to it, jumping into the passenger seat. "So where are we heading?"

"I have to mail something at the post office. Then we can go anywhere you need to."

Blake puts music on as we coast into town, Electric Callboy blasting through the speakers. We manage to find a park directly in front of the post office, and I offer to wait outside whilst he goes in.

I linger out the front, vaping when the path is clear of people. I'm scrolling on my phone when I hear a noise of disgust from my right.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

I look over, my face dropping in displeasure at the sight of Jenny.

"None of your bee's wax, Jenny," I retort.

I'm doing my best to keep my cool, my inner demons whispering that I should punch her in the left tit. But I focus on my breathing, ignoring her.

She stalks up to me, chest puffed. "You think you're so clever. If you think I'm done with you, then you have another thing coming," she huffs.

Turning, I whip off my sunglasses, glaring at her. "Listen here, you pig-headed bimbo. You might think you have power, but you don't. So do not threaten me because I do not take kindly to them."

Jenny raises an eyebrow, smirking. "Is that so, homewrecker? Well, I'm more than happy to release the two little tapes I have of you. Then we'll see who has the power."

"Go right ahead," I say, raising my arms to the side. "See if I care. But if you do, I'll come down on you like a ton of bricks. You're trying so hard to preserve your little reputation. Just remember, I can just as easily destroy you. I have nothing to lose, Jenny."

She glares at me. "What are you talking about?"

I smirk at her. "You think I have forgotten about Walter? Or what happened at the junior cheer championship? I keep everything, Jenny. So here's how this is going to play out. You're going to back off Asher and let him go.'Break up'or whatever you want to call it, and you're going to move on. You're going to leave everyone alone. If I get so much as a whiff of drama, I'll fucking destroy you right back."

Jenny's eyes flash, panic crossing her face. "You wouldn't," she hisses.

"Oh, I would. Try me."

She glares at me before taking a step back. "Fine," she snaps. "But if you breathe a word of what you and Asher did when he wasmyboyfriend, all bets are off."

I hold my hands up. "Fine by me. Now fuck off, Jenny. And I'm back in town. So get used to seeing my face again."

Jenny shoots me a death glare, before turning around and stomping off down the street. I chuckle, turning around and finding myself face to face with Blake.

"Oh, you're back," I mutter.

Blake's lips tug into a smile. "Are you causing drama again?"
