Page 8 of The Orc Next Door

Her warm, brown hair is a tangled mess and I imagine gathering it in my fists as I buck into her on all fours. The pink flush on her cheeks looks innocent and only makes me want to defile her in the mating pleasure more than ever.

“An orc!” The young human she called Darrell answers in a more civilized tone pointing. “I’ll go get the rifle, you can shoot him.”

The boy darts away and although getting shot is unpleasant sounding, knowing there will be at least a momentary furlough from his assault on my ears is enough for me to lower my hands and straighten myself to standing.

“What are you doing?” she asks, rubbing her eyes with her fingers as if she may still be dreaming.

I’m waiting for you. I will breed you with my child soon. Take you as my mate with both my cocks inside you, screaming my name and dripping with my thick seed. I’m never leaving you again. You belong to me and I will guard you with my life forever.

That seems a little much for this early in the morning so I counter with, “Making sure you are safe.”

“Were you here…” She steps onto the porch, looking up and down the street, even more beautiful in the morning light. “All night?”

Her delicate hand covers her upturned lips and I love that I have brought her a smile.

“Yes,” I answer, placing a hand over my chest, the thumping of my heart solid against my palm as I imagine her as the mother of my future children and a growl rumbles inside me.

“Here.” The dark-haired child returns, breathless, handing Emmie a long rifle. “Shoot him.”

She offers me an uncovered smile this time, placing a hand on the boy’s head. “I’m not going to shoot him, Darrell. This is Tigor, he’s the orc next door. It’s okay, he was helping guard the house last night.”

The boy looks perplexed, narrowing his eyes at me, deciding if I’m dangerous or not.

Before he comes to his decision, a tightness in my belly twists into a knot. A roiling inside me turns into a deep, painful growl that vibrates and rumbles, widening their eyes.

The low sound of an engine joins in the hunger growls from my stomach as I flip my head around to see the small, red automobile that is usually parked here in the driveway at Emmie’s house approach. Relief softens my shoulders knowing it is at least not the problems from last night back for another round, but still tense at anyone that is coming around what is mine.

“Dominic’s home!” Darrell jumps off the porch, forgetting about me for the moment as the car pulls in and the adult male I’ve seen here emerges from the car.

“What’s going on?” His voice is tight, defensive, and my own protectiveness flares. I turn his way, chest out, fists ready.

“This…” Emmie is off the porch between us, arching her hand in the air in introduction. “Is our neighbor, Tigor.”

He nods, looking me up and down. “Yes, our noisy neighbor.”

I growl but he does not cower. Instead, he steps forward, extending a hand in greeting.

“I’m Dominic, and I take it you’ve met Emmie and Darrell.”

“He helped us with some trouble last night. Some appropriators just making noise really.”

Dominic nods, his eyes still on mine. Hand dangling. Waiting.

He doesn’t answer, focused on me, and I conclude I should appreciate his protectiveness. He has kept my mate safe for this long. I should be thanking him, but also, I will let him know, I will take things from here.

I grab his extended hand and nod on a grunt. He opens his mouth to speak, but my stomach twists again, louder this time, making the boy cover his ears.

Fair is fair.

“You’re hungry.” Emmie looks up at me, the curve of her ass through the robe making the throbbing start again.

"I was here all night. Orcs usually eat ten meals a day. I missed three already.”

“Well.” Dominic drops my hand, giving Emmie a nod. “Make him some breakfast, Emmie.”

She smirks his way, then grins up at me. “I have bread and grape jelly and all the vegetables you’d care to eat from the garden.”

Emmie leans in closer to me and I catch a new scent on her, making me momentarily forget about my raging hunger.
