Page 5 of I've Found Her

He smirks nervously, “You obviously don’t realise who you are talking to. I’ll leave Bella to explain. Catch you later Bella.” He gives her a wink and walks out. I want to kill him. Bella looks relieved when he leaves but I can tell she is still worried about him.

I give Bella my business card and tell her if he ever comes near her again, she must ring me that instant. I settle my bill and leave the salon.

I immediately get on the phone, “Penny, I need everything you can find on the Trinity manager, everything down to his shoe size. I then want you to make an appointment with him this evening, as myself. I have seen enough now. Oh, and get Mr. Davis here, I’m going to need his legal team to help me take this A hole down.”

I end the call and ring Josh, “Josh I need an additional security team at Trinity, and I want a guard on the door of the salon for the full opening hours.”

“Sure thing Damien, I’ll send them over now. Hey, are you alright mate you seem off?” Josh can always tell when something is bothering me.

“I will be, once I’ve eliminated a problem. I’m going to get Penny to send over some information on the soon not- to- be Trinity manager. I need you to dig deep, parking fines, the lot. I need to know about it. This guy is going down and I’m damn well going to make sure he doesn’t take King along with him.”

When Katie and I return to the salon after lunch, there is a security guard standing outside the salon.

“Good afternoon ladies. I’m Mike and I am the new Foster & Thomas security guard. I am here to keep you all safe. Anything at all, you just give me a shout,” he announces.

“That’s strange,” says Katie. “We’ve never had security before, maybe royalty or someone incredibly famous is coming?”

As we walk through the salon to get to the staffroom, we hear a commotion behind us at the salon entrance. Graham is trying to get in. Mike is standing firmly in front of the doors, refusing to let him in.

“You cannot stop me going in there, I am the hotel manager! Whom do you report to? Give me their name, I will have your job!” Graham rages.

“I report to the ‘King’ himself so you will have to take it up with him!” says Mike standing strong, his arms folded in front of him. Graham huffs realising he isn’t going to win. He is about half the size of Mike, half as tall and half as wide. He gives Mike what he must think is a mean stare, then turns on his heels and leaves. I have a feeling Damien is behind all this, but how? I then remember him giving me his card. I had just slipped it into my pocket and had forgotten about it. I pull it out and read the name on the card:

Damien King, CEO of King Security.

Well that explains how he manages to get security here so quickly. I wonder if he is any relation to the Kings who own the hotels? Surely not- just a coincidence, I’m sure. I send him a quick text to thank him, put my phone in my bag and continue with my busy day.

It turns out to be quite an eventful afternoon. Katie is shampooing her gentleman client when he starts making a suspicious movement under his gown. The area of the gown which lies over the groin area is bobbing up and down. Being the confident little tigress that Katie is, she storms around to the front of the client and straight out asks him,

“What the hell do you think you are doing?” This attracts the attention of Mike. He grabs the client and rips off the gown only to find out that he is, in fact, cleaning his glasses. We also have a client leave without paying. This lady who is in her 50s has received a full colour change, Olaxplex treatments and restyle haircut. The lady says she has left her purse in her car. She leaves her handbag with phone and belongings here while she nips to the car to get it. The bag is Gucci and with a phone inside it would definitely be worth more than the £300 bill. We expect her to be back within minutes. After an hour and a half, we realise she probably isn’t coming back. On closer inspection of the handbag, it turns out to be a fake and not a very good fake either, James informs us. There is also nothing in the bag apart from a few stones. We leave it with Mike to sort out.

At the end of the day, I check my phone, I am excited to see a message waiting, but am soon disappointed when I see it is from John.

John: Please can we talk face to face? X

Bella:I really don’t think that’s a good idea John. What is it you want to talk about?

As it is a nice day outside, I decide to go for a walk after work. When I get to the lobby, I see Tiffany at the front desk, in tears.

“Hey, Tiffany what’s wrong?” I ask.

“It’s Graham. He’s just been down here shouting at everyone. Apparently, the new CEO of King is coming today and wants a meeting with Graham. He’s not happy, he thinks someone has reported him for something. He said when he finds out who it is he will make sure they never work again. I’m sure he thinks it’s me, but it wasn’t I swear!” Tiffany looks really worried. Graham shouldn’t be able to treat people like this.

“Well, if he hasn’t done anything wrong, he has nothing to worry about,” I say as I give Tiffany a hug. I sit with her for a while and tell her all about my day; the incident with Graham, the poor man who was wrongly accused and the lady with the fake bag.

“I can spot a fake Gucci a mile off,” Tiffany chuckles. I think I have started to cheer her up. “I wish I worked in the salon, it sounds a lot more exciting than sitting at this desk all day.”

A few minutes later, three men walk into the lobby, all wearing extremely expensive looking suits that fit their muscular bodies perfectly. The first male is in his sixties I’d say, a good-looking man for his age who obviously works out. The second man is in his thirties and is ruggedly handsome. He has a dangerous look in his eyes, as if he’s seen a lot in his lifetime. The third man takes my breath away. Damien. I thought a man couldn’t be any sexier than the Damien I had already seen but oh my God. Damien in a suit makes me burn with desire. His dark freshly- cut hair is styled to perfection. He wears a black suit which clings to every broad curve of his body. I have never been jealous of an item of clothing before. His face bears a stern scowl- he is clearly a man on a mission.

As they walk past the desk, neither of them looking in our direction, I get a whiff of Damien’s scent, fresh and manly.

“Wow. Then again, sitting at this desk does have a few perks,” Tiffany sighs, as she rests her chin in her hands dreamily watching the 3 men disappear into the lifts. I feel a pang of jealousy.

I text Katie to come down and meet us. The three of us decide to go and do some retail therapy. Just what we need after a day like today. The girls have great taste and a lot more style knowledge than me. With the help of Zara, John Lewis and a few designer shops I have never heard of, I soon have a new wardrobe worthy of a London stylist.

We shop, drink cocktails and laugh all evening. Katie is great; she is so confident but in a lovely way. I really envy that about her. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her and is happy in her own body, confident in her ability to do anything she puts her mind to. I am always worried what people will think of me. Tiffany is hilarious, especially after a couple of cocktails. She literally has no filter and has been telling Katie and me all about her latest sexual conquests.
