Hannah exhaled a long slow breath as she relaxed against Caroline. “Tomorrow.”
Chapter22
Hannah woketo Caroline wrapped around her, that soft hair wild...and so fucking beautiful. They’d come back to Hannah’s last night, ready to tell Edie about them today once she arrived home from Dylan’s. Hannah wasn’t worried. Caroline had told her a few weeks ago that she was falling in love with her, so it was hard to feel worry about anything at all, and this morning, after a night of mind-blowing sex, Hannah was on cloud nine.
She looked down. Caroline’s arm was bent and resting on her chest, those naked shoulders begging to be kissed, touched...lavished by Hannah’s tongue. Caroline had an extraordinary body. Every curve, soft and delicious beneath her palms. But it was the way in which Caroline’s body responded beneath Hannah that really thrilled her. Hannah had never come across a woman who got lost in her entirely. Really, it was something to hold onto forever.
Hannah gently trailed her fingertips up and down the back of Caroline’s arm, feeling her smile against her, the smallest moan rumbling in her throat. “If you keep doing that, we won’t leave this bed.”
“Now that’s something I could consider for our Sunday morning.”
Caroline tilted her head up, smiling as Hannah lowered her lips to hers. “Morning,” Caroline mumbled. “You have the comfiest bed in the world.”
“Oh? Been in that many beds that you’d know?”
Caroline blushed, lowering her head. “Don’t be silly.”
“Oh, no. That won’t work for me. Speak, woman. I want answers.” Hannah sunk further down the bed, meeting Caroline’s eyes. “You were a minx once upon a time, weren’t you?”
Caroline smirked. “Maybe.”
“Oh, I like this. No, I love this. I knew you had it in you.”
Caroline shook her head. “No, that’s not me anymore, Hannah. I’m an entirely different person now.”
“But I always knew that deep down you had it in you. You just have to remember who you were, Caz.” Heat rushed through Hannah’s body at the thought of Caroline letting go a little.
“Be careful what you wish for, Hannah.”
Hannah frowned. “I don’t...”
“I met Naomi the night I was out with my girlfriend at the time. We ended up taking her back with us to the hotel we’d booked for the night.”
“No!” Hannah’s mouth fell open. “Y-you—“
“Had a threesome, yes. And then I fell in love with Naomi. The girlfriend I was with at the time wasn’t really anything serious, but Naomi...I was captivated by her.”
Hannah shuddered. “Right.”
“At least I thought I was. It was the thrill, you know? The excitement that came with some extremely hot sex. Back then, sex was absolutely my thing. I didn’t give a shit what I got up to.” Caroline laughed as she rolled onto her back. “I mean, I was always safe. But sex was incredible before I met Naomi.”
“And now?”
“Oh, with you, it’s... I’m not sure I can describe it. Being with you is probably the greatest achievement of my life. And I really mean that.”
Hannah’s heart swelled in her chest. The pride she had for this woman up there with one of her greatest achievements too. “Well, that’s what matters. But you know, feel free to boss me around the bedroom anytime you like.” Hannah shifted closer, sucking gently on Caroline’s neck. “Mm, knowing what I now know is making me kinda hot for you more than I already was.”
Caroline giggled when Hannah’s hand slowly lowered down her stomach.
“Maybe I need to buy you some sexy lingerie to get things going,” Hannah growled, her lips enveloping one of Caroline’s pebbled nipples. “Fuck, you’d look amazing.”
“Mum?”
The sound of the front door slamming shut and heavy footsteps up the stairs had Hannah’s heart slamming against her ribcage as they separated and covered themselves quickly. Caroline tensed beside her, squeezing her hand beneath the cover.
Hannah was about to shout out, but Edie knocked on her bedroom door, and then the door flew open suddenly.
“I’m going to be a big sister!” Edie grinned proudly as she stood in the doorway, her eyes straying towards Caroline. “Mornin’, Ms Baker.”
