Steven had finally proposed to Kitty, and they were getting married. Edwina could not be happier for both her best friend and cousin. Kitty was truly going to be her family now. She was going to be her cousin.

"I want it grand and that is final!" Camilla finished.

"You are not the one getting married, Mama!" Kitty moaned.

"I am sure you two can come to some form of agreement," Edwina suggested.

"I could elope," Kitty grumbled.

"Catherine Matilda Mathews!" Camilla cried, and her daughter chuckled at finally getting the reaction she had apparently been pushing for. Steven appeared just then, and they exchanged a tender look.

"Shall we?" He took Kitty’s hand and placed a light kiss on her knuckles. Kitty’s face reddened. They were going back to London to prepare for the wedding before traveling to Hertfordshire to have the ceremony at the Matthews' Manor. Edwin and Albert would travel from Hersings when the time came.

As they said their farewells, Puppy ran out of nowhere, leaping up and into Kitty's arms. "Oh, I am going to miss you," she said to him, kissing his head.

Albert's warm hand found Edwina's. She did not hear him sidle up to her. Elaine and Konstantin joined them. "I shall look forward to seeing you in Russia, Edwina." Konstantin kissed her cheek.

"And I shall look forward to winning a fencing duel against you, Brother," Elaine said to Albert before turning to Edwina and engulfing her in a warm hug.

Elaine had sparred with Albert a lot during her stay, and their scores evened. Steven stood no chance against her, and he never bothered again after one pathetic bout. "I shall personally cook you peas when you are coming, Sister," she said to Edwina, and they all laughed.

That night, Albert told Edwina that he had something to show her, and they took their horses out to Glass Blanket. There was a full moon, and the still lake reflected the celestial object in all its glory. It was perfect, it stole her breath away.

"It is always like this on a full moon," Albert said. "I knew you would like it."

"I love it." She tore her eyes from the lake to gaze up at him.

"Are you going to cry again?" He pulled her against him.

She swatted his chest playfully. “My eyes are dry. But I am incandescent. If this is a dream, I shall have the head of whoever makes the mistake of waking me up."

"It is no dream, My Love." He kissed her. "It is all real. I am at your service, Your Grace."

"I love you, Albert. You are mine."

"And I love you beyond life.” He pressed her against him, claiming her mouth. Carefully, he lowered her onto the blanket he had laid. The night was cold, but they warmed each other. His hands roamed her body, and hers did the same.

"Albert?" Edwina called, suddenly inspired.

"Hmm?" He did not stop his pleasing ministrations.

"I think I finally have a name for my mare," she whispered.

"What is it?" He propped himself on his elbows and looked down at her.

"Luna." She grinned. "She will always remind me of this magnificent reflection on Glass Blanket, and the time I spend by it with you."

"It is perfect," he murmured. He kissed her again.
