“Tell me the fucking truth.” I put a hand on my hip.

“The truth?” He lifted an eyebrow.

Fucker was totally avoiding the question, and trying to delay his answer.

“Yes, the truth. If you want to be friends, say that straight-out. If you want to be more, say that. I want to know exactly what I’m getting myself into here.” I gestured between us.

“Truthfully, I don’t know. I assumed when I first caught your scent that I would be looking for the strength that comes with the bond between us. And then I met you.”

“And?” I demanded.

“I find myself feeling urges and desires I didn’t know were possible.” He continued studying me. “I’ve never heard of this before. This sex you spoke of. How does it work?”

Oh, no.

Fuckno.

I was out.

“Let’s go.” I grabbed him by the stupidly-attractive arm and dragged him toward the door.

“Your reluctance to speak of it tells me it’s something I’ll be interested in knowing about,” he said, his voice low and sexy.

“Fuck off,” I growled back.

“That word translates strangely in my language, you know,” he countered. “I’ve wondered for centuries why the wordconnectis such a popular curse among my people.Fuckis only a stronger type of connection, or so the translation magic tells me.”

I dragged him through the building, ignoring the stares from Mare and Sunny, as well as the words the man was saying.

None of the women had told me that fae dudes didn’t know what sex was.

Did they not know?

I guess none of them had mentioned getting propositioned by fae guys, so…

Shit.

Fucking hell.

Was I supposed totellhim?

What if he attacked me if I did?

A shudder tore through my spine at the thought, at thememories.

No, I wasn’t going to tell him.

No way in hell could I take that risk.

They had to already know about jerking off, but…

Fuck, no, I was not thinking about that.

We reached the door, and Calian stopped me with a palm to the stone. “Holding your hand won’t be enough,” he warned me, his voice low. “The level of possessiveness I feel is…” He seemed to search for a word.

“It’s fine, I’ve seen it. This is my part of the bargain, so I’ll uphold it. Don’t worry.” My voice came out softer than I expected it to, but I didn’t want to think about that.

He dipped his head in a nod and worked on the top locks while I started from the bottom. He did a couple more than me, but didn’t seem to mind that as he stepped back to let me tug the door open.
