She shouldered past me again then continued to stack her tray, calling the three of us assholes as she held her head high and wandered away to find a spot to sit. Her friend Sky stayed behind. Her body shook harder as she gaped between us.

“I’ll take care of it,” she promised, her voice weak. “Like I said, she’s new.”

“Don’t worry about it,” Rhett said, flashing her a polite smile that had Phantom and I glowering in disbelief at him. “Enjoy your lunch, Sky.”

Her face broke out in a relieved smile. “Thanks, Rhett. I-I owe you one.”

When she was gone, I spun to face my brother, brows pinched. “What the fuck, Rhett?”

“What?” he asked, looking stupidly innocent. “It’s not like she did it on purpose.”

“Fucking softy,” I muttered, shaking my head. “You forget your role, brother. We’re kings here. You just made us look weak.”

Rhett opened his mouth, not getting a word out because I’d walked away, stalking right over to the new girl. I snatched up her tray and as she started cussing me out, dumped it in the floor. I smirked as she glared up at me. Her body vibrated with a seductive rage that had my cock painfully pulsing.

“You fucking—”

“Knowyour place, Samara.” I took a step closer to her. She didn’t back down. We were nose to nose, our chests heaving together in perfect harmony. “Welcome to Storm Ridge Academy. From now on your stay here will be Hell.”

Those were my words, but as I glared deeply into her stunning, raging blue eyes, something within me shifted. Something about her seemed familiar, like we’d somehow crossed paths with each other before. My heart squeezed, making me feel something I hadn’t felt before.

I didn’t like it. Not one fucking bit.

Chapter 7

Samara

“They’retheRavagers?”Iscoffed later that afternoon when classes were over, chugging over half the wine cooler I was holding in one big gulp. “They’re fucking dicks!”

“They may be dicks,” Sky agreed, “but they’re in charge around here. Getting on their bad side is the worst thing you can do. And you did that exact thing today.”

“Fuck them,” I chided, my grip tightening on my drink as I guzzled the rest of it down. “I’m not scared of them.”

“You should be,” she replied, looking worried. “I’m serious, Samara. That’s a road youdon’twant to explore.”

“Little too late for that now, isn’t it?”

Sky frowned and hugged her drink, looking away from me. “Yeah, I guess so.”

When Isaac dumped my tray on the floor, I wanted to rip his fucking head off. Food was a sacred thing to me. Something I cherished because I’d spent years of my life suffering from starvation thanks to my drugged-out bitch of a mother.

I didn’t mean to bump into him. I was so overwhelmed by the variety of food; I didn’t even notice he was standing there. But beyond that bullshit; there was a plus side to it. I now had faces to go with their names. Another step was complete. The hard part was figuring out how to murder those bastards.

But fuck, they were breathtaking. All fucking three of them.Isaac’s icy blond hair. Those stunning eyes. The tattoos he sported on his chest. And Phantom…fuck me, he was perfection. He was all man, just like Jace. The tattoos. Those snakebites. His deep, husky, immaculate voice. Those hard, perfectly taut, chiseled muscles. And Rhett…ugh…he was undeniably sexy, like he’d been hand carved by clay and blessed with life by the Greek Gods. Just being in their presence alone made my thirsty punani throb in deep betrayal.

“People are talking,” Sky murmured.

“Huh?” I snapped my head to the side, all seduction withered. “About what?”

“About what happened today. Rumors are going around.”

“What rumors?”

Sky sighed and took a large swig of her drink. “That you and Isaac are now fucking each other.”

“WHAT?” There was no way in hell I’d heard her correctly. “That’s a goddamn lie and you know it.”

“I know it is. But that’s not gonna change the minds of those who want to believe it. I heard word got back to Kinsley about it. She’s pissed. She’s coming after you, Samara.”
