My pussy clenched around his fingers, and I shattered, cumming so hard I saw stars. Isaac growled his approval and drank everything I gave him.

Isaac rose to his feet, giving me no time at all to catch my breath before he flipped me over on all fours and grabbed ahold of my hips.

“I hope you’re ready to scream for me, Samurai.”

He removed a hand from my hip and grabbed my hair, yanking it back. I moaned, loving and hating how the pain he inflicted brought me so much pleasure.

“By the time I’m done with you, you won’t be able to stand, much less walk straight for a week.”

Chapter 43

Phantom

“Phantom,”Cindybeamedwitha bright smile when I walked insideDemon’s Ink Tattoo Parlorthe following Wednesday afternoon. Between spending all my spare time worrying over this bullshit with Damien Reyez and now the trials, I was severely stressed the fuck out. A little bit of ink therapy was exactly what I needed.

Cindy rushed from behind the counter and wrapped her arms tightly around me. I bristled at first, but eventually I hugged her back.

“Sorry,” she muttered, quickly pulling away to put some distance between us. “I know you don’t like being touched like that, but I couldn’t help it. Where the fuck have you been, man? It’s been what, over a month since you last came by?”

“Yeah,” I sighed out. “I know. I’m sorry. I’ve been dealing with a lot of shit.”

She threw up a hand. “No worries. It’s fine. Give me a few minutes to get shit set up and then you can tell me all about it.”

I followed her around back and watched as she opened up a drawer and began pulling out all her equipment. When she had everything spread out on the counter, she reached for a scrunchie and hauled up her long black and green hair in her hands, throwing it up in a bun.

“We doing the usual?” she asked.

“Yeah.”

“Go ahead and get situated then. I need like maybe five minutes tops.”

I removed my shirt and placed it in another chair across the room before making my way over to the hydraulic chair, straddling it. When Cindy had the needles, ink, and the tattoo gun ready, she plopped down in her seat and scooted over to me. I shivered as she began applying the antiseptics to the scarred areas on my upper back.

“Alright, kid, I’m all ears. What’s been going on?”

I didn’t even know where to fucking start. There was so much chaos happening all at once, so I figured it was better to start from the very beginning, when Samara first arrived at the academy.

Cindy listened as I talked, chuckling briefly when I hissed every now and then from the rough pricks penetrating my flesh. The further I went into detail; I could hear her horrified gasps and feel her shaking her head as she worked.

“Fuck, Phantom,” she breathed out. “How many times have I told you that you need to find healthier ways to deal with your anger?”

“More times than I can count,” I replied.

“Have you told Rhett you’re sorry?”

“No,” I grumbled.

“You need to. I know he’s not your blood but he’s still your brother, Phantom. You could’ve killed him.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know.”

It grew quiet for a long moment, other than the sound of the tattoo gun purring away.

“This Samara girl though…” She paused, considering her words. “You like her…don’t you?”

Cindy chuckled again as I glared at her over my shoulder. Shaking her head, she said, “I mean, you did save her life, and youdidsound a little salty when you were talking about the obsession your brothers seem to have for her. Hell, maybe pursuing her wouldn’t be such a bad idea.”

“Yes, I like her,” I freely admitted. “She’s beautiful, Cindy. I barely know her, but she and I have so much in common it’s unreal. We dress the same. We like the same music. She’s wild and untamed. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and she doesn’t take shit from anyone. Not even from us Ravagers.”
