None of those fuck-boys could brag about how she sucked or fucked him, because she was only having sex with me.

We had sex often. Sometimes too much, to the point I was exhausted when I had to get to work or go to the gym.

Hey, it was life. It was natural, and her pussy felt too damn good and tight wrapped around me to pass up.

Things were going great with Jenny and me. We were on a steady boat, rocking gently, not daring to tip over.

She came by my job every other day to bring me a lunch she made from home. When I worked late and was bored out of my mind during my shift, I’d call her.

Our conversations were so cheesy. I’d tell her I missed her and she’d say something like “Not more than I miss you.”

Before I ever met her, shit like this was stupid and childish, but she made me feel things I’d never felt before. She pulled me into clearer water, allowing me to see life the way she did.

With open eyes—not so closed off about everything.

Things like going to carnivals and riding in bumper cars. Making out in the truck I practically worshipped. Swimming in a public pool. Coming to her home and arguing with her about the dumbest things right before making the sweetest fucking love to her for the very first time.

Shit. I’ll never forget that first argument we had in her bedroom.

Never.

We were the perfect match. I thought nothing would change—that we’d only get better… but it turns out I was wrong.

Bad things happened later.

Actually a lot of bad things happened, and they were all out of my control.

It was around 2:40 a.m. We were lying on her bed, quiet. It was peaceful listening to her breathe; listening to her sigh as she caressed my cheek.

“I have to go, Jenny,” I whispered as I stroked her hair.

Her window was cracked open. I’d snuck in like I always did when I got off of work late.

Her parents didn’t come into her room late at night. Come to think of it, I had yet to run into them, even during the day.

I’d park my car a block away from her neighborhood, on an empty lot the twins and I used to jog around.

“Already?” she whined.

“I should go check on my grandma.”

She sat up on one elbow. “I understand.” Her chin dropped down on the back of the hand she had flat on my chest. “When am I going to meet her?”

“I don’t know. I guess we could set that up soon. She’s been dying to meet you; I’ve just been so fucking busy. When I’m free, it’s always too late or too early.”

“I know. It’s okay.” She rubbed my chest. “I’ll miss you when you leave.”

I smiled down at her. “Are we going to go through this war again?” Lifting up, I kissed her on the forehead, my fingers threading through her hair.

She sat up all the way, crossing her legs. I stood up and adjusted myself, grabbing my black hoodie and tugging it on. “Will I see you tomorrow?” she asked.

“Have to work at 7 but I get off at 5. Hitting the gym afterwards, but then I’ll be free… until 12.”

“Oh. Right. A fight.” She looked at me, pressing her lips. She was disappointed—not because she was against it, but because she didn’t like to know I was fighting at all.

“Don’t do that to me.” I stepped in front of her as she stood and folded her arms. “It’s only for the money, Jenny.”

“I know. I just hate how you show up with all those bruises and scars, Drake.”

“You think I like messing up this face?” She couldn’t help but giggle as I held her chin. I watched her carefully before placing a full kiss on her mouth. “All that matters is that I win. And that I get to come back to you each and every time.”

“I guess so.”

“You love me?”

She nodded, bringing her arms around my neck. “A lot.”

I let out a deep sigh, holding onto her. I didn’t want to pull away, but I needed to go and she needed some sleep. I knew she’d sacrifice her sleep if it meant I could stay.

She pulled away after a few seconds, patting my chest lightly. “All right, Doomsday. Go on. Don’t keep grandma waiting.” She smiled as she started for the window.

I stepped past her, pulling it open. “This climbing and shit is starting to get old,” I muttered.

She studied me with sympathy swirling in her eyes. She then looked over at the door and stepped aside. “They’re probably asleep by now. I can sneak you out if you want me to.”

“No fucking way,” I scoffed.

“Drake, come on. They are never up this late. They won’t even hear us. It will be quick. I know you’re tired of jumping into that bush.”
