“Well, the nuns had their own dressing room, and let me tell you, we werenotvery nun like.”

His fingers stilled, his interest piqued. “Is that so?”

Her wine glass tipped in his direction. “Not in the least.” She glanced around at the other diners. More had been seated. She leaned in, giving him a large dose of herbal scented hair. “One of the boys brought silly putty.”

“They didn’t!”

She tapped him in the chest with her index finger. “You make fun, but silly putty is a very interesting compound.”

“All right, you got me. What makes it so interesting?”

“Well.” Her voice lowered as if bestowing him a national secret and showing him a side of her that was… fun. “One of the other nuns was an artist.”

“Like paintings?” This was too confusing.

“Noooo, sculpting.” She drew out the words, as if he should understand exactly what she was getting at.

He waited.

“Sculpting,” she said again.

“How much wine have you had?” He picked up the bottle to gauge how much was left. Barely less than half.

“Let’s just say that the kids were not allowed to see some of her artwork.”

Aiden was starting to get an image and it flowed right down to his dick. “And this sculpting was, uh, phallus in nature?”

She took a gulp of her wine and giggled. “Oh, yes.”

“Nuns, you say?”

“Yes.”

He looked up. The waiter was standing there with their pizza.

“Could you, uh, box that to go?” Aiden asked her. “And bring the check.”

“Your place or mine?”

“Mine. I told you, I don’t sleep with coworkers.”

“Yeah, you did say that. I’ll need directions.” The sporty little beamer buzzed down the highway. Light snow hit the windshield. “Hey, wait. You’re not a virgin, are you?”

“You make it sound like that’s a crime.”

His foot came off the pedal as he veered off to the side of the road. “Oh, my god. You’re a virgin?”

“Of course not. I’m twenty-four years old. You’re going to get us sideswiped if you don’t watch it. The director will kill us if we end up dead or in a wreck.”

“So, you’re not a virgin?”

“No,” she said on a huff.

“Why don’t you sleep with coworkers?”

“Because.”
