“That’s it, little mouse. Let that sweet pussy milk my fingers like it would milk my cock.”

My pussy throbs around his fingers. When he pulls them out, I whimper.

He says, “Time for my dessert.”

And when he brings them to his mouth, sucking my juices from them, I know I’m in danger. Malik Jafar has the power to bring me to my knees, and I’d be helpless to stop it. The thing is, I don’t know if I want to stop.

I’m going to hell.

That’s the first thought I have when I wake up the next morning.

After… well, afterithappened, Jafar stood and made his way to the house. He didn’t even say a word as he left. I, on the other hand, stayed out on the beach until it became too cold to bear. When I slipped inside, everyone was in bed, so I didn’t have to face questions where I might give myself away. In my room, I replayed what had happened over and over. Why did I let him do that?

It’s the same question I have this morning. Jasmine is my friend. She’s always been there for me. She’s a good person who doesn’t deserve this. My eyes fill with hot tears that roll down my cheeks. I need to talk to her. To confess everything. This is going to change everything between us, and I’m prepared for that. I only wish Dru wasn’t here. Jasmine is going to be understandably upset, and Dru will be waiting to attack like a shark in blood-filled water.

By the time I pull myself out of bed, my face is splotchy and red from crying. It’s not much better after a shower, either. To make matters worse, Dru is the first person I run into as I descend the stairs. She’s wearing a neon pink sundress that hurts my eyes because it’s so bright.

“God, you look like crap. Are you sick? I bet it was that nasty food we ate last night.”

Nasty food? That was some of the finest food I’ve ever had in my life. There’s no telling how much that meal cost. I don’t say anything, though, because she’ll only want to argue with me, and I just don’t have it in me to deal with her today.

“Have you seen Jasmine?”

“I think she’s still in bed. She texted, saying she and Jafar were going to work on starting their family last night.” She grins. “I can’t believe our best friend is going to be a mother soon.”

I should be upset that she called Jasmineourbest friend, but the part that hurts the most is hearing her say Jafar and Jasmine are going to start a family. Does that mean he left me on the beach and went right to her bed? My stomach actually cramps.

“I think I’m going to lie down.”

“I knew it was the food,” she calls as I go back to my room, closing the door behind me.

This has to be god spiting me. What else could it be? Karma maybe. All I know is I’ve been a terrible friend and I’m getting what I deserve. They’re going to have beautiful babies, and I’ll have to sit by and watch it happen. Jasmine will go all out with her pregnancy, as she does with everything. I can see it now. A pregnancy announcement with a party to follow. Multiple baby showers because one won’t be enough. A gender reveal party. A spa day for all of her female friends. The list goes on and on. And I’ll be expected to be at every event. The thing that guts me the most is thinking about Jafar holding a tiny version of himself. Even though he doesn’t want a family, I know he’ll be a great father.

I mope around until my stomach growls. With any luck, Jasmine will be up by now, and we can talk. Before I leave the room, I pack up my bags in case I have to depart quickly. This time I don’t run into anyone. In fact, the entire house is empty. Outside, I see Dru and Jasmine walking on the sand. Al and Richard sit on beach chairs. And Jafar is nowhere to be found.

The hairs sticking up on my neck are my only warning that he’s behind me.

“Sleep well?”

He’s too close. Anyone could see us, and yet I don’t move.

I glance over my shoulder. “Not really.”

“Me either. I spent the night on the couch after Jasmine tried to force herself on me.”

That has me turning. “Really?”

“Yeah. She was drunk and kept saying she wanted to make a baby.” He smiles down at me. “And you and I know how I feel about that.”

“Jafar, this is wrong.”

Something flickers in his dark gaze. “Is it?”

“Yes.”
