"Yes, my friend."

"Will she be alright?" Deer Runner asked.

"Yes, Black Feather and the others have taken good care for her. Her old wounds are healed now, only marking her back, but the new wounds were infected and had to be scourged from her body with fire."

"Our tribe embraces her, for her courage."

Lone Wolf smiled, "Yes, and I want to weep for it."

They came to the cabin now and went directly to the barn. Liam and Burt were still hanging there. Blood had dripped all over the barn floor, but now it was drying, and their hands were red with it.

Burt was asleep, but Liam came awake when he heard them. They took them down and Liam's eyes came open. "What are you doing back here. Did you find her?" His face held the pain from losing his fingers. His hands would have healed in time, Lone Wolf thought to himself. He looked at the man and saw no soul.

"Yes, we found her."

"Then why are you here?" Liam snapped. "Didn't you do enough torturing?"

"To finish what we started."

"You're going to kill us?" Burt shouted as he suddenly came awake.

"No, we are going to dump you in the prairie and let mother nature kill you." Lone Wolf smiled. "Like you did her. And no one will know who to blame for it, as nature will take care of you."

"But why, you got her, what more do you want?"

Lone Wolf brought his knife under Liam's throat, "I want you to suffer, as she has suffered, for the years spent with you. You will never hurt another person…. It is her wish that you never touch another person like that again."

"I won't, I swear. I give you my word. I wouldn't have hit her but she's so stupid. Her parents didn't teach her anything."

"But you taught her how to endure pain, did you not?" Deer Runner sneered. "What you did to her I would not do to a dog. You will die in the prairie, eaten by wolves."

"You can't do this!" Burt hollered as he came awake. "It ain't right. It ain't decent."

"And the way you did her was?" Lone Wolf's eyes narrowed on him as he came to stand just in front of him.

"We will do this. And just like you planned for her, you will die."

"But it's murder!"

"No, it's justice!"

"I sure could use a drink right now," Burt said in a tearful voice.

"Yeah, it'd be good about now." Liam agreed.

"We have no firewater for you."

"We could pay you not to do this." Liam told them.

"Money means little to an Indian." Lone Wolf laughed.

"There's got to be something you want."

Lone Wolf smiled, "I have what I want."

"She ain't no good in bed, you'll be disappointed." Liam shouted at him now, his anger spurred by their lack of consideration. "She don't know what to do, she's ignorant."

"She never gave you her heart!" Lone Wolf smiled.
