"Oh Wolf, I want to be one with you, again. I never thought I'd say that, but I do. I will want you every day of my life."

"And so you shall my sweet, and so you shall!" he smiled.

They made love for almost an hour, and there were few words just sweet moans of love. No longer shy, they touched, and kissed for a long time. She ran her hands over his body too, exploring every part of him.

As they came off another high, they relaxed in each other's arms and sighed with such happiness.

"I hope I don't wear you out," she chuckled.

He smiled and squeezed her to him, "It is a nice way to be worn out, my love."

It was much later, when they went out to see the other people of the village. They checked on Matooka and the children. Black Wolf told her about Nakota staying and watching for Naomie when she left. He told her he would follow, and they would catch Big Knife. But he also informed her to be very careful of Naomie in case she escaped. Matooka understood. "She is a vile creature. I will beware of her always. And I will carry a knife just in case."

Later, Sasha showed him where her father was buried, and he told her he would make a grand marker for him so that all would know and remember him as one of the best Chiefs.

Later they were gathered around another newly married couple and talking and out of the corner of his eye, Black Wolf saw Naomie. Naomie tried to make herself inconspicuous but Black Wolf knew she was listening.

For a moment he studied her. She was beautiful, but her heart was black and Black Wolf could see it plainly. It was like it was written on her forehead.

He changed the subject abruptly. "Yes, did I tell you about Big Knife?"

The brave perked up and shook his head. "You found him?"

"No, but we ran into someone who had. He was wounded and it seemed Big Knife challenged a Sioux for another's squaw."

"Big Knife challenged a Sioux?" The brave was asking with amazement, "for one of their squaws?"

"Yes, that's what we were told at one of the campsites up in the mountains."

Naomie came close, it was apparent she was listening. "Was she prettier than our women?" the brave asked with amusement.

"She was quite beautiful according to the brave we talked with," Black Wolf laughed "And obviously Big Knife was quite taken with her."

"Did they call him by name?"

"Yep, it was him alright. But he got away before we could catch him. But by then he had more than just us after him. The Sioux did not appreciate him trying to kiss the maiden as she was promised to another. And he had not yet met the challenge."

"Did he take the maiden?"

"Don't know, just know he left their camp in a hurry."

"Wow, don't tell Naomie, she will have a fit." The woman chuckled.

"Well, according to this brave, she has a right to be jealous I suppose." Black Wolf said loud enough for Naomie to hear. "I mean Big Knife must have wanted this maiden badly to challenge someone for her."

Naomie ran to her tepee in tears.

For a moment, Sasha felt bad for her, but then she thought of her father and ignored that feeling.

Black Wolf watched Naomie.

"I think she got the message," Sasha chuckled.

"Looks like. Well, we need to have some supper." Sasha excused them.

They went to their tepee and Black Wolf stared through the doorway toward Naomie's tepee while Sasha fixed them some supper.

"Is she still there?"
