“Fuck, Liv. I need you so bad.”

Her brow quirks in amusement. “So what are you waiting for?”

“Fuck knows.”

I shuffle over to her, my eyes locked on her in the hope that she can see the truth of everything I’ve said to her since we got here.

I come to a stop with her knees on either side of my hips and skim my hands down her thighs.

She shudders at my touch, her nipples puckering.

“You want me, babe?”

“You know I do.”

“And you’re confident that you can hold this?” I ask, moving forward and rubbing the head of my cock through her wetness.

“Y-yes,” she breathes as I dip myself inside her ever so slightly, her muscles trying to suck me deeper.

“Fuck, I love how desperate you are for me.”

“Please,” she whimpers, her stomach muscles pulsating as she keeps herself in position.

I hold myself right at her entrance, teasing her with everything I can give her as I stare into her eyes.

“I missed you so much,” I tell her honestly, my fingers squeezing her hips to help drive the point home.

“I-I need you.”

“Only want me for one thing, huh?” I quip.

“I should after everything you’ve done. You were going to leave me.”

I hang my head, although I don’t rip my eyes from hers, needing her to see all my regrets, my shame.

“When I first got back here, yes, that was my plan. But as time went on, as we got closer, there was no way I’d have been able to go through with it.”

“Where were you going to go?”

I sigh, hating that she wants to have this conversation right now, right as we’re on the cusp of something so mind-blowing.

“I was moving money out of my trust fund so that I could rent a place far away from Saints Cross.”

Pain flickers through her features as I say the words.

“I wouldn’t have done it, Liv. I couldn’t have left you.”

“Why?”

“Because I—” Panic floods me and I swallow the rest of the words. “Because I need you. Because I need this, what we’ve found.”

“I shouldn’t forgive you.”

“I know. You shouldn’t, but I’m going to do everything I can to prove to you why you should.”

Without warning, I thrust forward. I might have been the one to instigate this conversation, but I’m done now. I need actions, not words.

“Reese,” she screams as the force of my movement sends her shooting up the yoga mat.
