I assume I’m bait. A hostage he’ll taunt my brother and the guys with.

“You do know who my father is, right?” I ask.

“Like I give a shit.”

“You should. Because when he finds out you took me, what do you think he’s going to do?”

“You won’t talk,” he says with pure male arrogance.

“You sound awfully confident.”

“Oh, I am. Because after I’m done with you, you’ll—”

“Dude. Not cool,” his friend protests. “I didn’t sign up for this shit.”

“If you don’t like it, there’s the fucking door.” Dale tips his head to the only door in or out.

“I’m out, D. This is… fucked up.” He storms out, leaving the two of us alone.

“Pussy.” Dale scrubs his jaw, draining the rest of his beer. “Although, I’m kind of liking that we’re all alone. Now maybe we can do this the easy way.”

“The easy way?”

“Yeah.” Slowly, he stands and stalks toward me, sending my heart into a tailspin. He reaches for me, cupping my face as I try to recoil from him.

“Get your hands off me.”

“Or what? What the fuck are you going to do, Olivia?” My name rolls off his tongue like silk, but it’s edged with venom.

“Is your dick really so small you’ve had to resort to kidnapping an innocent girl to get your point across?”

Anger flares in his expression as he roughly grips my hair, pain exploding along my skull.

Shit, that hurts.

“Fucking bitch. You’re going to pay for that.” A dark smile curls at his lips. “Let’s see what an Heir’s sister really tastes like.”

His mouth crashes down on mine as I struggle against him. He’s too strong, his tongue plunging past my lips as I thrash, trying to claw at his hands and chest as he falls down on me, forcing me into the sofa cushions.

“Get off me, you piece of shit,” I cry when he pulls away for a second. “Don’t you dare touch—”

His mouth drowns out my cries as he kisses me again. But this time, I’m ready for him, biting down hard on his tongue.

“Fucking bitch.” Blood sprays from his mouth as he backhands me so hard, stars swim in my vision.

I blink, trying to focus as he hacks a mouthful of blood onto the floor. “We could have done this the easier way, but I have no problem sending you back to them in tiny little pieces.”

“You’ll never get away with this.”

“They’ll all be balls deep in pussy right now, too fucked off their faces to even realise you’re gone.”

His words strike like bullets. Because he’s right. They’ll all be partying in the woods, surrounded by enough girls and booze and drugs to keep them distracted.

My heart squeezes at the thought of Reese with Darcie or some faceless girl. Part of me wants to believe he wouldn’t go with someone else, but I know better than to assume what happened at the Rock meant anything.

Besides, part of being an Heir is about keeping up appearances. Playing a part. And everyone will expect their starting player to be front and centre of the celebrations.

My glossy eyes flicker to Dale’s phone. I need to distract him. I need to figure out a way to get my hands on—
