His fingers fist my hair, guiding my head up and down his hard length. Reese might think he has all the power, that he’s controlling me, but as I close my fingers around the base of his shaft and start pumping, working him in synchrony with my tongue and mouth, the power switches.

“God, yes, Liv. Take it. Take it all…” My fingernails dig into the backs of his thighs as I swallow him down again, choking on his dick and slowly pulling back up. He’s close. So close, his muscles are drawn tight, his muted groans filling the storage closet.

“This mouth was made for me.” He rubs his knuckles down my cheek, gazing down at me with raw emotion. It flickers right there in his eyes, and I know he feels it.

In this moment, Reese feels the connection burning between us.

“I’m almost there… fuck, don’t stop. Don’t—”

I rip myself away from him and climb to my feet.

“What the fuck are you doing?” He glares at me.

“You’ll get the rest when you break off the date with Darcie.”

“Olivia, come on. Be reasonable. Oak—”

“This isn’t about Oak, it’s about you and me and Darcie. Anyone, anyone but her, Reese. I mean it. I know you want to throw my brother off the scent. I get it. I do. But not her.”

“I swear to God, Liv. If you don’t get back on your fucking knees and—”

“Shh, you’d better keep it down in case anyone overhears.” I sass while smoothing the flyaway hairs from my face.

“You’re seriously going to leave me like this?”

“You’re a big boy, I’m sure you’ll live. Or I could send Darcie in to finish the job. I’m sure she’d be more than happy to oblige.”

“You’ll regret this,” he seethes, tucking himself back into his trousers.

“Actually,” I grin, “I don’t think I will. See you around, Whitfield.”

I duck out of the cupboard and close the door behind me, hurrying out of the building before my resolve shatters.

REESE

“You could at least look a little excited about tonight,” Oak says as he joins me in the kitchen at the Chapel where I’m sitting, picking at a label on a bottle of beer.

“Oh, I’m ecstatic,” I mutter to myself. “I’m sure it’ll be great.” I force a smile on my face when he comes to stop in front of me, his eyes narrowed and assessing. “What?” I ask when his attention doesn’t waver.

“You can bail if you want,” he offers.

There’s a huge part of me that wants to agree. I’m fucking desperate to. But I know it’s a trick. This whole night is his way of testing me, to try and figure out if his suspicions about Olivia and me are founded or not.

I hope it’s enough to banish that look in his eye. But something tells me my lack of interest in Darcie won’t be enough.

Why the fuck did he have to choose her for the stupid fucking double date? He could have offered for me to spend the night with almost anyone else at All Hollows’. Fuck, I’d even put up with Miss Goody Two Shoes, Tally Darlington and her bullshit opinions and rose-tinted outlook on the world over desperate Darcie.

“Nah, man. I’ve got your back. You need a wingman, I’m your man.” I wink at him before lifting my bottle to my lips and downing the contents. “Where are Theo and Elliot?”

“Elliot’s gone to see his old man. Fuck knows about Theo. You ready?”

No. “Yeah.”

“Great. Let’s go, then.”

Fan-fucking-tastic.
