My inability to decipher whether some apparitions or beings were real or imagined happened because of theEther. Leaving that realm meant your soul left a trail behind, an invisible path that other supernatural creatures could follow. One could argue you became tainted by the visit, which faded over time.

In this case, the Thrall was the most significant threat but not the only one. I couldn’t tell if the raven was actually here or only in my mind. Did its presence bring an additional threat?

After a short nap, I followed Aunt Gwen downstairs and joined Gypsy at the kitchen table. My aunt began to gather the ingredients for her secret Psychic Tea, boiling water as I sat at the dining room table.

Once our mugs were filled, we sought the leaves. I smiled encouragingly to Gypsy, feeling a slight case of déjà vu.

This specific order of events, including my thoughts, had been repeated before . . .

“By the power of three, so let it be.”

The entire vision we’d had only days earlier repeated from start to finish. No changes. No new insight.

I sighed with frustration, hating that skeletal face and the snakes, the graveyard, and the fog. What did it mean?

Aunt Gwen placed her hand over mine, squeezing once in reassurance. “Either the Third Sight is blind, doesn’t want us to move on from this vision, or we’re being blocked.”

“Agreed.”

“I have a bad feeling about this,” Gypsy added.

Yeah, she wasn’t the only one.

Chapter 3

“You’re all mine,” Gabewhispered huskily, scooping me up from the kitchen chair and taking the stairs three at a time up to my room. The door was locked swiftly, and I landed on the bed on my ass, watching my handsome wolf climb over my body on his hands and knees. “Let me take you away from all the chaos for a bit.”

“Please, sounds like a wonderful idea.”

“I don’t intend to drag this out. Not this time, but we’ll revisit prolonging your orgasm another day. Delayed gratification can be quite pleasurable, my sweet.”

Not a problem.

“Damian may have been the first to give a portion of himself to you, but I’ll make sure it’s my tongue that you remember.”

Gabriel still felt slighted about Damian’s blood and the first bond.
