In the lobby, there’s a stretch limo waiting for us. “Is the limo such a good idea?” I’m not sure I’m up for another night in it, given what happened between us last night.

“I thought we’d try it again, if that’s okay.” He pulls me close. “More privacy than the Escalade.” I feel my face flush, and my heartbeat speeds with anticipation.

The limo isn’t even moving, and Cole pulls me onto his lap. “Hi,” I say, sheepishly.

“Hi back, baby.” Cole’s hand disappears inside the slit of my dress. His hand skimming inside of my leg to my thigh until he reaches my panties and frowns.

“What’s wrong?”

He flicks a finger at the waistband of my lacy thong. “You’re wearing panties tonight.”

I can’t help the giggle that elicits. I wrap my arms around him, kissing him on the nose. “I couldn’t wear underwear with that awful dress last night, and if you don’t want me wearing them, you’ll just have to take them off me.”

With a whoosh, I’m lying on my back. Cole’s hands run up either side of my legs until they reach the top of my panties. He gives me that patented smile of his and slowly pulls at the lacy underwear. His fingers linger, brushing lightly over my sex. My hips rise, wanting more, and I moan Cole’s name. But he continues until the panties are off. I watch as he folds them, putting them in the inside pocket of his tux.

I move to sit up, but Cole hovers over me. “Oh no, Cookie. We’re far from finished.” He kisses me blithely, just above my breast where the skin is bare.

I duck my head, wanting his lips. “Kiss me,” I plead.

His lips caress feather light over mine. Cole flicks his tongue out and I part my mouth, “please.” And Cole fit his mouth over mine, his body pressing me into the seat. My heart races and sparks of pleasure course through me.

All too soon the limo stops, and the doors unlock, then relock. “We’re here,” Cole smiles against my lips, pulling us into a sitting position.

Cole unlocks the door, opening it. He gets out, then he helps me out. I glance around but I’m not sure where we are.

Cole entwines our hands. “We’re still at the Upper House.”

“We are?” I ask looking around again. “We are on the far side in the back. Just wait it’ll be worth it.” I sigh and smile at him. Everything about Cole is worth it. I wouldn’t mind forgoing dinner and skipping to the good part. The thought sends tingles down my spine.

Cole wraps an arm around my waist. “I see those rosy cheeks. What are you thinking about?”

I give him my best Cheshire grin. “Oh, you know, stuff.”

“Kate,” he growls in my ear.

Cole walks us down a long corridor and through several service hallways, “Are you sure you know where you’re going?” I tease, wrapping my arm around Cole.

“Patience, it will all be worth it, I promise.” Cole leans down, kissing my temple. “We’re going in the back way because the front entrance is being worked on.”

“The front entrance to what?” I ask, my curiosity getting the better of me.

“Of this.” Cole opens a large glass door, and the most amazing floral aroma wafts through. Cole takes my hand, leading me inside a massive indoor garden conservatory. We walk along and several little white butterflies drift past, and we stop to watch.

“This place is beautiful. It’s in the Upper House?”

“Yes. It’s the butterfly conservatory it opens for the season next week.” Cole leads me on a stone path through the garden, pointing out some of the brightly colored flowers that have already bloomed. At the back of the conservatory is a small gazebo where a table has been set up.

“Look at the ceiling?” Cole says, tilting his head up.

“It’s glass.”

“Now watch this.” Cole pulls a remote off the table and with a click, warm red and white lights dance across it.

I wrap my arms around Cole. “This is amazing, thank you for bringing me here.”

“You’re welcome. This is my favorite part of the hotel.”

“Will you dance with me?” Cole holds his hand out. I take it and he spins me, a small giggle bubbling up.
