Two of his goons grab her arms, and she thrashes against them. “Stop it! Put me down! Let go!”

This is ridiculous. “She’s an adult. You can’t do that to her.”

“God damn it!”

Titan roars at us and launches his empty glass against the wall to our right. There was zero chance of the cup hitting us but now I’m pissed too. We don’t deserve to be treated this way.

Everyone falls silent, and the bodyguards carry Chelsea away without any more of a struggle. She’s defeated by his dominance.

I’m not giving up that easy.

I will battle for what’s right. “What’s wrong with you?”

His chest is still heaving as he drops into his chair. The leather creaks when he leans back, laying his head on the rest.

His fingertips tap on the desktop.

His cell pings but he ignores the messages.

All he does is stare at the ceiling.

With his fake composure, he freaks me out. He’s never been one to hold back so I’m not sure why he is now. “Titan?”

“Did you know my sister’s getting married?”

The unadulterated rage broiling in his tone keeps me mute. Even I know it’s a rhetorical question.

“Yeah, my own baby sister is getting married, and I’m the last to know.”

Oh god.

“Maxim knew.”

Shit.

“Chelsea knew.”

Fuck.

His head slowly lifts and his regard for me is absolute disgust.

“You…knew.”

Vomit swirls in my stomach. “Titan, I…”

Chuckling a sinister laugh, he shakes his head and flips up his palm. “Nope, Addison, I don’t want to hear it.”

Addison.

The nausea licks at my esophagus.

Not Addie.

Not Angel.

Not Fireball.

“Do you know what the irony is in this situation?”
