I sit straight up. “Oh god! I drooled all over you!”

“Yeah, but I also fell asleep and got some drool in your hair, so call it even.”

I touch my hand to the top of my head. “No, you did not! You’re just saying that to make me feel better.”

He stands with a snap, crackle, and pop of his joints and reaches a hand down to help me up. “Yes, I did. Busted.”

I blink up at him and take his hand. “Where are we going?”

“You are going to bed.” He braces his arm, and I pull myself to standing, wincing at the crick in my neck. Then I forget all about the crick in my neck when Beau buries his face against my throat and nuzzles me there, tickling me with his beard.

I bite my lip, fighting the arousal. If he’s not staying, there’s no point in getting me worked up with kisses. “Oh. Well, I’ll see you tomorrow after morning practice then.”

Beau’s eyes are dark when he pulls back to study me. “You’re going to bed, and I’m sleeping on the sofa. I don’t want you here alone.” His hands squeeze my hips, and I’m reminded of how tightly he held on to me as I rode his lap.

“We’ve already established that the sofa is too small,” I say, fingering the sprout of soft hair between his collarbones, visible at the neck of his tee shirt. How far down does that hair go? “Sleep in my bed.”

“No way I’m pushing you out of bed so you can sleep in the living r—”

“Beau,” I say, exasperated, hooking my finger in his tee-shirt collar. “I’m tired and out of energy to be coy. I’m asking if you want to sleep in my bed.”

He freezes. “You sure?”

This kiss may answer that question. I roll up onto the balls of my feet and capture his lips in mine, slicking my tongue into his mouth.

With a rumbling exhale, Beau receives my kiss and deepens it, his mouth slanting over mine. His embrace, his tongue possess me.

“Tell me if you want to slow down,” he murmurs. At the same time, his hands urgently roam up and down my sides, from my hips to my shoulder blades, as if willing my clothes to disappear by magical friction alone.

“Beau. I don’t know how many single moms you’ve dated, but we make the most of our alone time. I’m ready to speed things along if you are.”

I reach down between us and palm his hard length. Beau sucks in a breath and, in true Aggie fashion, grits out the universal phrase of approval: “Good bull.”

As a Longhorn, I simply shake my head, pretend I didn’t hear that, and smother any further comments with a heated kiss.

Tugging the hem of his shirt, I lead him to the bedroom while carefully walking backward, neither of us willing to stop kissing the other. Beau’s lips and tongue are so soft and so firm, and feel so good, I never want to stop.

I sit down when we reach my bed and begin tugging at his athletic shorts. “You have a condom?”

Beau grabs my wrist, surprising me.

“First, I need to taste you,” he rasps. “Your scent has been on me all day, driving me insane.”

I have no words. I let that statement wash over me, heating my skin and pricking my nipples.

Beau looms over me where I sit on the edge of the bed, angling back under his frame, his hands braced on the mattress on either side of me. His eyes flash with hunger.

“I’m all sweaty. Are you sure you want to…” I trail off, blushing hotly.

He doesn’t reply at first but lavishes my mouth, my throat, my shoulders with such intense kisses that I’m soon under him.

“Tastes delicious so far. Indulge me, Sweetness.”

Beau’s strong hands spread my legs.

“Okay,” I breathe, deciding not to care that both of us need a shower, probably.

He mouths my breasts through my sundress, but he doesn’t linger on my breasts like he did earlier today.
