But Caiden and Christian made sure that I ate three meals a day. One day, I didn’t. I even had a whole argument with Caiden about it, and he left work on his lunch break to come home to force me to eat.

Because once I missed one meal, I tended to conveniently miss others, and it was a sign of my moods going on a downward spiral, which my two men did their best to prevent.

“Okay,” I said quietly. I grabbed Christian’s hand in mine. “Let’s go eat this fattening ass pizza.” I shook my head. “I’ll never understand how you and Caiden keep up with your bodies.”

He laughed. “We work out, babe.” I arched an eyebrow at him, considering I still had yet to see them use the gym in the basement. “You’re always still asleep,” he explained. “But we do work out.”

I huffed. “Now I feel like a fatty.”

Christian scoffed and pulled out a barstool for me. “Sit your cute ass down, woman. You’re not fat. Caiden and I both agree that you still need to gain more weight, especially since you’re pregnant.”

I pouted at him. He smiled. “Fucking adorable.” He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine.

Caiden

The house was mostly dark, the light over the stove and a lamp being the only lights on in the main part of the house. I quickly deactivated the alarm before it woke Ally and Christian up, setting it again once I was inside the house with the door locked behind me.

I rolled my shoulders as I toed off my shoes and took my socks off, tossing them into the laundry room as I passed by it on my way to the bedroom.

Christian was awake, but Ally was passed out in front of him with his arm wrapped around her waist, her back pressed to the front of his body. She was uncovered, most likely hot. Her body temperature tended to fluctuate a lot the further she got into her pregnancy.

“Hey,” he whispered. “How did it go?”

“Fine,” I told him honestly. It had. Michael was funny—a bit nervous, though. I figured that would go away with a little bit of time. He understood I had a serious girlfriend, one I intended to spend the rest of my life with, and he wasn’t bothered by it.

“How did she do?” I asked him.

Christian shrugged. “She tried, bro. It’ll take some time for her to get used to the fact that you’re still dating men, but she’ll come around. She’s doing her best to be selfless for you.”

I smiled at her as I yanked my jeans down my legs so I could tug on my gray sweatpants. Ally woke up when I slid into bed, her sleepy eyes instantly meeting mine. I leaned forward and smoothed my lips over hers.

Her eyes slowly fluttered back open as I leaned back, and I smiled. Her cheeks burned as she smiled back at me. “Hey, baby.” I brushed my nose with hers. “I’m home.”

I laid on my back and opened my arm. She instantly placed her head on my chest near my shoulder, her eyes falling shut again. I brushed my lips to the top of her head.

She laid like this with us every night. I laid on the side closest to the door, and Christian laid on the side closest to the window. She slept between us with her head on my shoulder and her ass pressed up against Christian with both of our arms wrapped around her.

“Goodnight, baby,” I whispered.

Only a soft snore met my ears.

I folded another baby blanket and placed it on the shelf inside the closet. Yesterday, after Christian and Caiden were both off of work, we all went shopping for necessities like baby blankets, diapers, wipes, bottles, etc. They wanted to put it away last night while I slept, but I begged them to leave it for today so it would give me something productive to do. I got bored sitting around the house all the time, and hell, there were only so many books I could read.

My phone rang on the dresser in the nursery, and I quickly stepped out, frowning at my Dad’s name on the screen. Drawing a deep breath, trying to quell the nerves in my stomach, I answered it, pulling the phone up to my ear. “Hello?”

“Hi, sweetheart.” I swallowed thickly, waiting to hear what he had to say. I knew he was trying to do right by me, but it would take a while to undo years of damage. “I was wanting to know if you’d like to meet up for lunch?” he asked.

“Um… sure,” I stupidly agreed. “It is just going to be you this time, right?” I asked him. “I don’t want to see Mom.”

“It’ll just be me,” he assured me. “I haven’t seen your mother since the last dinner. We’re living separately, and the divorce is in the last process of being finalized.”
