mistakes and mercy

ALEX

I was a monster, more so than Alfred in many ways. Seeing the look on Sylvia’s face, her realization that I hide so much from everyone— it felt like my mask had just been ripped off.

She was upset. I could feel her, could feel that leaving her just now had hurt.

I was being self destructive again, and that realization had been why I had run.

Not that I could go far. Anne and Sylvia were in my bedroom, and I was standing outside on my porch, naked and still hard. There was a shield around my home to keep prying eyes away, so this wasn’t the first time I’d been out here nude.

I should have been freezing standing here. It was fucking January and cold, but I simply couldn’t feel anything except for the infernal burning of my heat.

I was a witch, this much was true. But, in my time, witches hadn’t been what they were today. There weren’t many left from the year I was born.

Time was strange, and I had grown very used to how quickly it moved. It didn’t feel like it had been a few hundred years, but it had.

My body didn’t show my age. There were times I was still an idiot too, and maybe this was one of them.

I was a witch, and I had originally been a weak one. Then, I had made deals. Deals with demons, with monsters.

Most of those deals had already been filled or finished. I had retained my power, growing and growing.

Then, I had summoned Aamon.

I had thought I could control him. I had believed he would be the demon I could get the most power from.

His price had been for me to let him use magic. We had created a blood pact, one that allowed me to continue to grow stronger, while allowing him to use magic.

Over the years, he had figured out how to harvest that magic from other witches. I hadn’t even cared. I had turned a blind eye to everything, letting him do as he pleased, so long as I got what I wanted.

I was selfish.

Slowly, over the years, I had started to become more and more of a monster— while Aamon had become closer and closer to being a witch. The only thing was, we both needed the power of the other.

Then, something happened. My memory was still fuzzy around the event, but I had gone in search of a stone. One that was said to give magic power unlike anything else.

I had found it.

I destroyed it.

When I destroyed it, I had changed something. I had gotten too close to being like a monster. Too close to Aamon, too close to being something I shouldn’t.

I went into heat.

Aamon had been there. He had been there, eating up my magic. Wanting me.

That’s when things had started to change.

At first, I didn’t notice. I didn’t realize there were other witches who were omegas.

Aamon had been the one to figure that out.

The stone had given me power unlike any other, but at a cost.

My cock hardened and I let out a little gasp, looking up at the sky. My blood burned with heat, the taste of Sylvia on my lips.

I had just taken a mate and fucking dragged her into my life. I had punished her by letting her get close to me like this.
