We sit back on the couch and bid farewell to Jared and Ashton, who head out for their weekly Wednesday date night, while we order in. Sophie and I get cozy in our pajamas, which consist of tight tank tops and black panties, and turn on a movie.

We’re busy ogling Christian Grey’s ass when there’s a knock at the door. I get up to grab our dinner, giving the guy a show. After quickly paying, I head back into the living room, detouring by the kitchen for cutlery and wine.

Putting our dinner on the coffee table, I hand Sophie a fork as she slides off the couch, down to the carpet beside me, and we begin inhaling our dinner straight from the takeout containers.

“Spill the beans,” she demands when we finish with dinner.

“What beans are you talking about?” I ask, getting up off the floor, flopping back onto the couch, and swinging my feet up over the armrest.

Sophie gives me a blank stare. “Don’t play dumb with me, babe,” she says. “Something happened in that weight room, and you need to give me details.”

I watch her for a moment. Realizing she’s not about to back down, I let out a heavy sigh. “Okay, fine.”

Sophie squeals in excitement and makes a show of getting ready for story time. As I begin giving her the steamy details of my morning, a knock sounds at the door.

Our conversation quickly falls away and we look at each other in confusion. “Are you expecting anyone?” she asks me, her brows furrowed.

Trying to peer around the living room window, I search the front of the cottage but don’t see a damn thing. “No. You?” I question.

Sophie shakes her head and I get up, hating the idea of not knowing who stands at our door. I’m not one for surprises and this whole adult concept of having a home where people are able to come and knock on the door has never really sat well with me. If you want to drop in, that’s fine, but text me first so I’m not caught in my fucking underwear. “Come on,” I say, holding my hand out to Sophie. “If it’s a murderer, then we’re going down together.”

She lets out a sigh and reaches for my hand. “Fair point,” she nods, letting me yank her up off the ground before walking with me to the door. My fingers curl around the handle as I slowly inch the door open, finding not one, but two morons staring back at us. They both seem more than pleased to have found us both in nothing but our tight tanks and panties.

“Well, well,” Sophie says, focusing her gaze on Miller, a wide grin stretching across her delicate face. “I heard you eat pussy like a pro.”

Fuck.

My cheeks flame as Tank bursts into laughter beside him. I knew spilling the beans to Sophie would come back and bite me on the ass. I just didn’t realize it would happen so quickly.

Miller’s dark gaze meets mine, and a cheesy as fuck grin stretches across his face. “Like a pro, hey?” he questions, knowing damn well how mortified I am.

Trying to brush it off, I shrug a shoulder. “Oh, you know, you were okay.”

“Really?” he smirks, his eyes glistening with silent laughter and pride. “It didn’t sound justokaywhen you were screaming for more. Maybe I need to jog your memory.”

Oh, dear God. Yes, please.

Before I get a chance to respond, Sophie’s purring tone cuts through the room. “Eyes are up here, Big Guy,” she says, her attention focused solely on Tank, who’s studying her body like he might die without it. His gaze slowly travels back up, and by the time he reaches her eyes, the sexual tension between them is nearly knocking me over.

Needing to look away, I glance back at Miller, hating how shy I feel around him despite knowing exactly where his mouth has been. “Dare I ask why you two are hovering in our doorway?”

“We were heading to Micky’s for dinner and a few drinks and thought you might like to come,” he explains.

Sophie grins, unable to break her stare with Tank. “I always like to come.”

I ignore her and get back to Miller, leaning against the drywall and crossing my arms over my chest, loving this playfulness between us. “You wouldn’t be trying to trick me into a date, would you?” I muse.

Miller laughs at my suggestion, but the spark in his eyes gives him away. “Not at all,” he lies.

“We just ate,” Sophie informs them. “But we were going to have a movie night if you guys wanted to join?”

“I’m in,” Tank says, marching forward, not even bothering to ask what movie we’re watching. He grabs Sophie and lifts her in the same instance. She giggles as her legs wrap around his waist, then without a glance in our direction, he begins walking her down the hallway.

A moment later, we hear a door slam followed by a loud moan.

Miller laughs at their display but looks back at me, a little unsure. “Sorry, if I’d known they were that bad, I would never have brought him here.”

“It’s okay,” I say, realizing Sophie is most likely going to be occupied for the rest of the night. “So, are you serious about hanging out?”
