Tightening my hold on her thigh, I snickered. “We are. Every day is an improvement.”
Harrumphing, she frowned at me. “You didn’t think…”
“Don’t make me lose my buzz,” I warned.
She stilled. “You did! You thought I’d change my mind.”
“I didn’t, actually.” I arched a brow at her. “Sin thought you might, but I didn’t.”
“He has trust issues,” she grumbled.
“Hella trust issues,” I concurred.
Then, she shot me a shy smile. “You didn’t doubt me? Really?”
“Not once. Just didn’t think we were ready to say the words,” I admitted, and I wasn’t lying.
Since her first meeting with Sin, I’d known she was in it for the long haul.
Some shit, you just knew in your gut, and MC’s constancy was one such thing.
“This is the best day ever.”
I shot her a sheepish grin. “Nah, that was the day you decided to get a taxi to the compound.”
MC let loose a joyous laugh as she hugged me to her, smushing my face in the tits that refused to stay cocooned in the tank top she only wore when she had her period.
“I fucking love you, Digger,” she crowed, making me chuckle.
“And I fucking love you, MaryCat. I know I’m doing everything ass-backward, but…” My lips twitched as I asked, “How do you feel about heading out to get branded today?”
