She moaned when I raised her arms overhead, and I knew everywhere was aching. Guilt kind of hit me, but I wasn’t doing this for fun, and we needed this finalized as soon as possible.

Next came the layers of clothes she was wearing underneath, and I kept the last thin camisole for her to remove after I left.

Dropping to my knees, I unzipped her boots and helped her out of them.

When my fingers went to her fly, I half expected her to shove my hands away, but as I did, I noticed how her tits were quivering, and I knew if I looked, I wouldn’t be seeing horror or disgust at my attention.

Her breathing had turned up a notch, and I knew she was reacting to me, my presence, my touch.

The princess wasn’t offended by the peasant’s hands on her—got it.

Mental note made, I flicked at the button and then dragged down the zipper. I had the makings of a boner, but I kept it under control because she was exhausted, and to be frank, I wasn’t exactly wide awake.

A woman like this…

Well, she deserved more than me for her first time.

Andshe deserved more than this fucking motel, andfor me to focus on what was happening between us rather than worrying over getting us to our destination.

As I pulled the jeans down, I found she was wearing thin long johns underneath, and I laughed to myself at the sight because that was unexpectedly practical.

Glamorpusses could be pragmatic—got it.

I wasn’t about to take anything else off her, so when I moved to a standing position, I told her, “Okay, you’re good to go.”

Her hand reached for mine, and her breath hitched. “You know my family is Catholic.”

I blinked. “I do.”

She squeezed my fingers. “An annulment won’t protect me and theywillcheck.”

I fell into her gaze as I zeroed in on what she was saying.

Christ, she’d had no privacy in her life if she knew her asswipe father would get a doctor in to check the state of her virginity.

“You’re ready for what that means?” was all I said, aware that my voice had deepened, turning husky.

She stunned me by smiling. “I remember you, you know?”

“From when?”

“Westchester.” Her lips quirked into a brighter smile that seemed to erase some of her fatigue. Did she have any fucking idea how beautiful she was? “I saw you there and everything about you…” She shivered. “It was so hot. You didn’t look as if you’d brushed your damn hair for a month, but your face…” She tapped her forehead. “I couldn’t forget that look we shared. You dismissed me when you saw my school uniform, but I didn’t dismiss you.”

“What do you mean?” I questioned softly, stepping closer to her so that my heat was her heat.

“I mean that you were my first crush.” Her grin turned sheepish. “There’s a twisted irony to life, isn’t there? You’ve probably got dozens of bikers in that clubhouse, but you were the one on guard duty.” She narrowed her eyes at me. “You’re the reason I started getting into trouble.”

My brows rose. “Why?”

“Because until then, I’d been all about the grades. All about toeing the line. Everything about you awakened me to boys.” When I tensed up, she spelled it out, “I got tired of using my hand, Digger. Got tired of thinking about you, about what you’d look like beneath the cut, about how you’d touch me and how it would feel for that look we shared to become something else, something more.

“I knew you’d forget about me, knew that look meant nothing to you, but I didn’t,couldn’tforget about you.”

I could have said a million things, could have let this turn into a pre-marriage celebration, but I’d always been too fucking honest for my own good.

“Do you want to know why I looked like a piece of shit that day?”

There was no denying that I remembered her. In that prissy little uniform that had made me feel like a pervert for checking her out. But I’d seen her face first, then the uniform.
