“Nothing, I just… Is there anything in your life that isn’t top of the line?” I ask, a little teasing. “Literally everything in this house is designer, exclusive, and perfect. This champagne probably cost more than most people’s rent.”
He chuckles. “It’s 1928 Krug, so probably.”
“How much?” I ask, taking another swig.
“About twenty thousand per bottle,” he says casually, and I almost do a spit take.
“So that sip was… a thousand dollars?” I exclaim in disbelief.
He smiles. “Have another.”
I do, drinking down the light bubbles. “So, this is what money tastes like.”
“Good, isn’t it?” Sebastian takes the bottle back. He looks about as relaxed as I’ve ever seen him, with his shirt unbuttoned at the collar, and his long limbs sprawled on the floor. But the look in his eyes is still hungry; calculating, especially when I idly stretch my leg, the suds slipping over my bare skin.
I watch him follow the line of my calf, all the way to the tips of my toes as I flex them in the air. I feel a curious sense of power, floating here in the bubbles, with the champagne fizzing in my veins.
He wants me...
“You look happy.” Sebastian says, getting to his knees.
I swallow. “I can’t remember the last time I was happy,” I say quietly, before I can stop myself.
He pauses, meeting my eyes with an unreadable look. “We’ll have to work on that.”
Sebastian reaches for a bottle of shampoo. He pours a small amount of liquid into his palm, and then tilts my head back, slowly massaging it into my scalp.
I sigh with satisfaction.
He’s slow and methodical, washing my hair with surprising gentleness. After all the excitement at the party, and the gulps of champagne, I feel weightless and a little tipsy, so I decide to relax and enjoy the sensation while I can. Sebastian’s touch is hypnotic, rinsing my hair, and then moving to stroke over my back and arms with a damp flannel, washing me clean.
After the bath, he helps me out of the tub and uses a towel the size of a blanket to dry me off, lingering over every inch of my naked body. I’m too relaxed to be bashful this time, and Sebastian makes no show of hiding his attention, caressing over my sensitive skin until I’m tight and aching all over again.
I move to press against him, but Sebastian steps back. “I think it’s time for another lesson,” he says softly, and my eyes flare. He chuckles. “You’ll like this one, I promise.”
“I like all your lessons,” I admit, honestly. “Eventually.”

Will those words ever not spark an electric reaction in me? I don’t know, but for now, I feel a telltale rush of heat between my thighs, as Sebastian takes my hand and leads me out into the bedroom—and over to the full-length mirror set against one wall, gilt-edged and antique.
He positions me in front of it, standing behind me so I’m leaning back against his chest. “You want to please me, don’t you, Sparrow?”
I stare at our reflections, Sebastian’s gaze locked on mine in the mirror.
I give a halting nod, my cheeks already burning. I look so small against his larger frame. He’s still clothed, but I’m completely naked, on display.
“You can’t give pleasure to anyone else, until you learn to pleasure yourself,” he tells me, his hands moving lightly over my shoulders… Down my arms… Over to graze my ribcage, tantalizingly close to my breasts.
