Holy shit.

I had sex with Hollis Wilder.

I’m pulled into the Starbucks parking lot to have my freakout. I cannot believe last night happened, but I don’t have any regrets either. Surprising, since I had so many reservations about him in the first place.

But it’s safe to say that it was my best sexual experience.

Hollis made me feel comfortable, cared for, and he knew what he was doing. Maybe I should be upset at the experience he’s had to gain that knowledge, but since I was reaping the rewards of it, I choose not to dwell.

Covering my face with my hands, I realize I’m smiling. I can still feel the way he held me, his body heat cocooning me. He was attentive, seeming to know exactly what I was thinking and feeling. But he didn’t treat me like delicate china either.

Composing myself, I send Kira a text asking if I can borrow something to wear, but she doesn’t respond. I decide to swing by her apartment anyway.

Parking on the street, I feed a coin into the meter before jogging up the stairs to her second-floor apartment. I knock on the door, more loudly than I usually would, in desperation. If she’s already left for class … I’m screwed.

I hit my hand against the door again and finally, blessedly, hear footsteps on the other side.

The door swings open and my jaw drops.

Rush smirks, leaning against the doorframe. “What brings you here Little Red Riding Hood?”

I stare at him in complete shock and despite myself I can’t help but take in his half-naked appearance. A pair of jeans hang super low on his hips, unbuttoned and barely zipped revealing very obviously he’s not wearing anything underneath.

And I’m staring. Kill me now.

Something tells me Hollis would have some choice words about me ogling his bandmate after he thoroughly fucked me into oblivion last night, but I’m only human and Rush is nice to look at.

“I need to see Kira,” I say, forcing my eyes up, up, up until I’m looking into his dark blue eyes.

He turns his head and for the first time I notice his right ear is pierced.

“Kira,” he calls. “Mia is here.”

A moment later Kira appears around the corner from her room with a robe wrapped around her.

“What’s wrong?” she asks—despite the fact I’ve caught her at the most awkward moment ever I can tell she’s genuinely worried. It’s not like I normally show up at her place at this hour of the day. In fact, I’ve never done this.

“Nothing’s wrong. I just…” I glance at Rush, afraid to reveal too much but I don’t have another option. “I need to borrow some clothes.”

Kira looks me over and her mouth parts in surprise when she notes I’m wearing yesterday’s clothes. “My girl gotlaid.” She does a shimmy dance.

“Shut up,” I plead, embarrassment reddening my face.

She rolls her eyes and stops her dancing. “I got laid too, chillax.”

Rush chuckles, clearly amused by us.

“Don’t you need to be at the studio?” I ask him.

“Fuck,” he curses, rushing back to the bedroom. He returns a moment later with his shirt on and his feet shoved into a pair of boots.

“We’re doing this again,” he growls lowly and nips Kira’s ear. “Bye, Mia.” He inclines his head in my direction before departing.

“Clothes?” I plead with Kira.

“This way,” she says, crooking a finger for me to follow her to her room.

I’m lucky we’re practically the same size.
