Tammy’s eyes flash with hatred and fear.

“Fear is a good look for you, Tammy. It’ll do you well with what comes next.”

“What comes next?” she asks, her voice rising an octave.

Liam steps forward, putting us shoulder to shoulder. Well, it would be if his height wasn’tdwarfing mine. “You’re lucky you've caught me in a good mood, ladies. I’m feeling rather generous, so I’ll tell you what. I’ll give you a one-hour head start. My sister may not want to kill you, but me?” He grins. “I’m a whole new kind of monster.”

“An hour for what?” Mary sobs.

Liam narrows his eyes. “To run. One hour, then I’m coming to find you. And when I find you, you’ll wish Bria had just shot you here and been done with it.”

The women look at each other, unsure of what to do. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

Liam peers down to the watch on his wrist. “Tick tock, ladies. You’re wasting precious time.”

Their feet move, tripping over each other as they run, desperate to escape before another second ticks away. Liam’s men step aside, and Judge gives a nod of approval to let them leave out the back door.

“That was certainly interesting,” Judge chuckles. “What’s your plan for when the hour’s up?”

Liam's face splits into a grin, rivaled only by the Cheshire cat. “I have a few ideas.”

“Remind me never to piss him off,” TK mutters.

Karma laughs and looks at Judge. “What do you want to do with the others? These ladies are exhausted and waiting for their marching orders.”

“Call Doc. They need medical care. They can use the spare rooms for now. Have the ladies help them get cleaned up. I’ll send Burnt and V out to get extra supplies, and whatever else we need for them.”

“And after that?” I ask.

Judge’s eyes go soft when he turns to me. “We help them find their families. If they don’t have family, we help them start over. Their suffering ends here.”

The ladies of the club immediately get to work, shuttling the women into one room or the next, while Cora and Grace head straight for the kitchen.

As the room clears, Liam moves to walk away, but I reach out, grasping his arm. Pushing up on my tiptoes, I plant a kiss on his cheek. “Thank you for letting me make that call. I know you didn’t have to, but you did anyway.”

“Wasn’t my call to make, Bebe.” He taps me on the nose and smiles. “Think I’ll go get myself cleaned up.”

“You can use my room,” Priest offers.

Liam grimaces. “The fuck I will. I saw what you were doing to my sister in there.”

Priest barks out a laugh. “Fair enough.”

“We have a couple of hotel rooms booked nearby,” Liam offers. “We’ll get cleaned up and be back in the morning. You’ll be ready by then?” His question is aimed at me, catching me off guard.

His business here is finished, and now that the threat is gone, he intends to follow through on his promise to take me home.

Liam doesn’t wait for my answer. Instead, with a wave of his hand, he signals his men to follow him as he exits.

“What did he mean by 'you'll be ready’?” Priest asks. Turning to him, I wrap my arms around his waist, drawing him close. “What’s going on?” he asks again.

“Take me away, Priest. Take me away from here.”

Studying my face, he gives me a smile that steals my breath away. “With pleasure, Angel. With fucking pleasure.”

PRIEST

I roll over,my heart still racing as I try to catch my breath. I’ve made love to Bria every available chance we’ve had these past few days we’ve been away. When she asked me to take her away, I did. We traveled to the coast and found a tiny Airbnb on the water. We’ve been taking the time to get to know each other and enjoy each other’s company. I swear, I can’t get enough of this woman.
