“Maybe the truck has superpowers,” Darcy said.
“Don’t tell me that. We’re giving that truck to Waverly,” I quipped. “And I don’t trust teenagers not to fool around.”
I went back to watching Waverly and Sailor while the Old Ladies talked about baby sleeping habits. Acid strode by the table they were at, and I watched as Sailor gazed at him with longing.
Fuck.
Savage sauntered toward us and wrapped an arm around my shoulder, giving me a hug. “What are you ladies talking about?”
“Chapped nipples,” Joni dead panned.
“Yeah, can’t help you with that,” Savage said.
“Damn, I thought for sure that would make him uncomfortable,” Joni quipped. “Alas, he is unshakable.”
“Have you met the South Dakota boys?” Savage asked me.
I shook my head. Duke and I had been running late, and the moment we’d gotten to the clubhouse he’d headed off to church.
Savage tugged me in Duke’s direction. He was standing with two men I didn’t know, but before we made it, Waverly and Sailor intercepted me.
“Can Sailor and I leave?” she asked.
“I’ll meet you over there,” Savage said, nodding his chin at Duke.
I turned my attention back to my sister. “You’re bored.”
“Yup.”
“You want to go hang out with your boyfriend, don’t you?”
“Yup.” Waverly grinned.
“He’s already on his way to pick you guys up, isn’t he?”
“Busted,” Sailor said with a laugh.
“You guys can go. But have him drop you off here at ten.”
“We’re not going home?” Waverly asked.
I tugged on her ponytail. “No. We’ll crash here.”
“Where?” she muttered. “There’s a billion bikers here.”
“We’ll find room,” I assured her. “Your phones are charged?”
“Yep.”
“Okay. Safe.”
“Always,” she assured me with a hug.
I walked toward Duke and Savage, who were talking with a few of the South Dakota boys.
“Sorry about my delay,” I said as I came to Duke’s side. “Sailor and Waverly just left for a few hours. I told them to be back at the clubhouse by ten.”
“Willa, this is Raze.” Duke gestured to a dark-haired man who was burly and barrel chested. He had a strong jaw covered in stubble and when he smiled, his eyes crinkled.
