Talk about violating us. I could only imagine how the asshole must have got off watching us make love while knowing what was under the mattress.

“Do not tell her. Aurora will be mortified, and this will damage her self-esteem,” I said.

“No way does Aurora need to know how he’s violated her,” Dylan agreed.

“Anyone you want to phone in? I’ve got an address,” Davies asked, coming out of the house.

“Yeah, I’ll call some brothers to meet us there and Ramirez,” I responded.

“Get them. I’ll call Ramirez,” Dylan announced, pulling out his phone.

After alerting Jett and Gauntlet, I swung onto my bike and followed Dylan and Davies down the road. This fucker had no idea the hell that was heading his way.

When we arrived, I saw three bikes parked further up the street. We were in a dead-end, and the house we were searching for was right at the far end. The area was not bad, but it wasn’t exactly great either. Dylan had contacted Leila, and she was researching who had rented or bought the property. Outside were Hunter, Gauntlet, and Jett, scowling at the building.

“There’s no one inside,” Gauntlet announced as we approached.

“Good!” I muttered as we walked around the back.

Davies picked the lock at such a speed that I wondered where he’d learned that skill. We headed in and found the entire downstairs empty. There was a musty, rank smell, stating this house had been vacant for ages. Dylan’s phone rang, and he answered it and listened before uttering thanks and hanging up.

“Leila says this has been unoccupied since the owner died. The house is in probate,” Dylan said.

“Ain’t been that empty,” Gauntlet growled, a dark expression on his face as he exited a bedroom upstairs and called us to come up. As I walked past him, Gauntlet squeezed my shoulder, and I peered at the nightmare surrounding me.

Hundreds of pictures of Aurora. None older than a month. Aurora at the shop painting, the scene of the accident, at our house, and in our bedroom. If I appeared, my face would be burnt out. They covered two walls, and I stared, speechless, unable to decide how to react.

“Klutz,” Dylan called softly, and I walked over to where he stood, staring at a nightdress hanging up and more underwear.

“That’s Aurora’s,” I said, feeling sick.

“Found the computer equipment, but there’s nothing to give me a lead. I’m going to pack it up and take it to Leila,” Davies announced, entering the room.

“I’ll give you a hand,” Gauntlet offered, looking sickened.

“Need to put someone on Aurora at all times. She’s not safe,” I whispered.

“Aurora will be covered,” Dylan promised, slapping my shoulder.

Chapter Ten.

Aurora

When I arrived home that night, I guessed something was wrong. Klutz was pale and seemed to want to distract and spoil me. Something upset him while I was out today, and a sinking feeling hit my gut. This was serious, and I caught flashes of images. Klutz didn’t realise, but he was projecting. I sat down heavily, and Klutz glanced across.

“He’s been in our house? Stolen my clothes and taken photos of me?” I gasped, and Klutz turned to stone.

“How do you…?” Klutz demanded.

“How do you think?” I shrieked. “Klutz, this guy is dangerous! Hell, I can feel his energy. He’s obsessed, and I don’t understand why.”

“Calm down, honey, it’s okay.”

“No, it’s not! What this man is doing is wrong!”

“Aurora, we know that. The guys and I have talked. You’ll not be left alone. Someone is gonna be with you constantly. This might encroach on your freedom, but until we have some idea of who this is, we need to protect you,” Klutz replied.

I was nodding as he spoke.
